ATIVAFIT exercise bike stationary indoor cycling bike reviews
Build
Available in two colors (white and black), the ATIVAFIT magnetic indoor bike is designed with durable construction that can support just about any type of spin workout. Materials used in the ATIVAFIT fitness cycle bike and the frame type adds to the durability and the actual stability during intense workouts.
Design
Grey AtivaFit Bike weighs 34.2 pounds and measures 26.2 x 15.8 x 45.7 inches as assembled and 6.7 x 15.8 x 53.5 inches as folded. It is already compact in size and has a space saving foldable design and can be rolled easily on its transport wheels. The bike’s frame is made of sturdy steel. It uses a magnetic resistance system (adjustable via a tension knob) with a combination of belt-driven system.
LCD monitor
Next feature is the LCD monitor. It tracks all the important stats, like speed, distance, time, odometer and calories burned. It’s also quite modern in design and there is also a place for an IPAD, thanks to the conveniently located holder.
Seat & handlebar
This indoor cycling bike lacks in 4-way handlebar adjustment which means some users can not customize the bike correctly for their height. Currently, the only spin bike with magnetic resistance and 4-way handlebars adjustment under $300 is theMaxKare indoor cycle Blackwhich you can find its full review on our website.
The ATIVAFIT indoor bike is fully-adjustable. The multi-grip handlebars are adjustable vertically and the padded seat can be adjusted vertically and horizontally. The manufacturer states that thanks to the adjustability the bike supports user height from 5’1” to 6’5”.
If you can afford the extra $60, I strongly advise you to go with that model. The 4-way adjustment allows a perfect bike setting and provides a safe and comfortable ride for all your family members.
Pedal
The adjustable pedals are pretty standard, with caged and anti-skid design. Thanks to these qualities they fit most sneakers comfortably, but they would also be very uncomfortable for bare feet. They are designed with adjustable straps and buckle to fit for different size feet and keep them in place safely.
Weight support
Most indoor spin bikes in this price range support 300-330 lbs of weight, although is fair to say that if you are around 270 lbs of weight, you might think of something 330-350 lbs+, just to be on the safe side. It’s always good to have some extra weight limit in reserve.
Flywheel
The flywheel is a fairly light one, weighing 15-pound but it is not a huge issue because this spin bike has the magnetic resistance system and high gear ratio. As you can see in the images, the belt ring is pretty big compared to any spin bike I know of, in this price tag.
The large size of the belt-ring (creates high-gear ratio) and magnetic resistance help to provide a fast and natural pedal stroke even with the lightest flywheels. This is the same concept thatKeiser M3i, one of the world’s most popular spin bikes is designed with (8-pound flywheel, high gear-ratio, and magnetic resistance).
Adjustability
As mentioned in the features, theadjustability goes a long way. The 2-way adjustable handlebars have a multi-grip design, so you can also rest your elbows if you feel like it. The seat is 4-way adjustable (up, down, forward, backward) and has a comfortable, leather-based design.
Resistance
The combination of the magnetic resistance system and belt drive makes the bike really quiet. You can safely watch TV while exercising, or thanks to the tablet holder you can watch Netflix on it while pedaling. What a great time to be alive, isn’t it?
Belt drive
Featuring a high-quality belt drivetrain comes with several advantages. For example, it doesn’t require lubing so you wouldn’t have to deal with the mess that oil could make on your floor.
In addition to a magnetic system, one of the aspects that I like about this ATIVAFIT indoor bike is the belt drive. In fact, it is the combination of the belt with magnetic resistance that makes this cycle stand out from the crowd.
The other benefits include low-maintenance because the belt is one piece unlike chain with 100+ little pieces. And last but not least, the belt does not generate as much vibration as the chain does, resulting in an extremely quiet and smooth spinning exercise.
