Each day when I head downstairs I can visibly see the sensor shows blue for clean air. This is after the basement and its air were left undisturbed overnight and the purifier was able to work its magic. The sensor then reacts as expected if I am downstairs working or playing with the kids, kicking up dust and carpet fibers. The sensor will change to orange or sometimes red and will automatically adjust the fan speed to high to counteract the contaminated air. After a while, the fan speed will lower and the sensor returns to blue.
