TP-Link Deco X90 3 pack for sale – what is the best price?
It excels best at range and network speeds, though its S$659 price tag, which comes with two mesh units, can be quite the splurge for some. At the most fundamental level, the device also serves as a satisfactory upgrade from its non-mesh counterparts.
The first of the two other new systems is the dual-band TP-Link Deco X60, which eliminates the backhaul, but still offers top speeds of up to 2,402Mbps on the 5GHz channel. That one brings the cost down to $270 for a two-pack.
A third system, the dual-band, budget-priced TP-Link Deco X20, is even less expensive, with a tempting price tag of only $190 for a two-piece setup. Speeds are capped at 1,201Mbps on the 5GHz band, but that’s still significantly faster than the previous-gen Deco P9, which capped things at 867Mbps.

TP-Link Deco X90 3 pack review
Design
Unpacking the box yields a two-pack router that each features a white exterior, and a glass-encased top with the TP-Link logo on it. Measuring 130 by 123 by 210mm, the mesh system here is built fairly tall and hollow, which makes it more lightweight than one might expect of its size. The shell feels solid, and doesn’t cave in under a series of hard knuckle raps.
Connectors
A status indicator sits on the bottom left corner, while the rear offers two Ethernet ports of 1Gbps and 2.5Gbps speed. Under the hood, TP-Link has included six high-gain and two smart array antennas as well, supposedly to carry a stronger, more stable Wi-Fi signal. The result is a no-frills, minimalist aesthetic that fits inconspicuously into a home or business setting.
The lack of a USB port, however, may prove a little inconvenient for some. Without it, users won’t be to connect to external storage devices, such as a printer, NAS (short for Network Attached Storage), or hard drive – although that’s not likely to be a dealbreaker.
Antenna
Deco X90 is equipped with six internal high-gain antennas and two smart array antennas. The high-gain antennas create strong, clear, dependable WiFi throughout your home. The two smart array antennas use intelligent algorithms to auto-detect the location of other Deco units to establish a stronger backhaul between them via signal concentration. This boosts coverage and improves wireless connections.
Room coverage
TP-Link says a $450 two-pack should be able to blanket up to a 6,000-square-foot home with Wi-Fi when it ships in April.
MUMO Technology
With Wi-Fi 6’s revolutionary combination of OFDMA and MU-MIMO technology, Deco X90 builds a more efficient network that quadruples the average throughput for connected devices in dense environments. This improves network capacity, cuts down on latency, and ensures a responsive network.
Speed
Hooked up to the 1Gbps slot, the Deco X90 clocked a download and upload speed of 142.04 Mbps and 419.74 Mbps respectively on an Internet speed test website, alongside an average ping count of seven milliseconds. Compare this to the app on a Samsung S20, which registered a 246.7 Mbps download speed, 187.4 Mbps upload speed, and an eight millisecond ping in the same time and setting.
AI Technology
AI-Driven Mesh technology gives Deco X90 self-learning capability. The smart mesh system intelligently learns the network environment, client quality, and user behavior and constantly improves itself through experience. Featuring advanced computing power, Deco X90 utilizes sophisticated algorithms to account for the various factors that affect your WiFi.
For example, Deco X90 adjusts the channel settings and transmission power levels of neighboring APs on the same network to provide robust wireless coverage while minimizing wireless interference. This ensures your unique home and network environment receive ideal WiFi coverage. Walk through your home and enjoy seamless streaming at fastest possible speeds with the Deco AI-Driven Mesh system.
More device connection
Deco X90 is tested to connect up to 200 devices without dragging down performance. Taking a giant leap forward in wireless connectivity, Wi-Fi 6 Deco’s bring stable, lag-free Wi-Fi connections to tomorrow’s hyper-connected homes. Families can now enjoy immersive live streaming, improved gaming speeds, and instantaneous video loading on different devices—all at the same time.
Protection
Thanks to advanced WP3 encryption and TP-Link HomeShield powered by Avira, Deco X90 is one of the most secure mesh Wi-Fi systems on the market, ensuring safe home networks for families. TP-Link HomeShield future-proofs home network security by paying extra attention to your smart home devices. TP-Link Deco X90 3 pack Performance review
The reading changed again on an iPhone 8, sporting a 217.3 Mbps download speed, 21.9 Mbps upload speed, and eight millisecond ping count. It’s all pretty bizarre, but the mesh device held up impressively well nonetheless, with the average ping for online multiplayer titles like Overwatch, Valorant, and Apex Legends ranging around five to 10 milliseconds, and videos boasting zero latency and buffer across various streaming services.
TP-Link Deco X90 3 pack customer review
Best MESH system out there, hands down.
I am a very critical user, and have tried (and returned) quite a few other systems. This product is the best hands down! I have had zero drops, and even in the most remote places of our 4000SqF house, nothing goes under 100mb, but normally i will get 300-700mb with my Cox Gigablast (1000mb) connection. Due to Covid, I have multiple zooms going on in parallel per day, >26 devices all online all the time and never a complaint – especially from the kids who are the heaviest users. I had it setup in under 5 minutes, super super easy. The security (Homeshield) is awesome, its protected us a few times already (in the log.) Only comment would be the price and the fact you have to pay for the Homeshield but worth it. I cant wait for the single expansion units as i will surely get another one to get the last corners up from 100mb to 300-700, not really necessary, but as i said, im critical 🙂

Alternate of TP-Link Deco X90 3 pack
If gaming is your passion, TP-Link has a new line of powerful Wi-Fi 6 gaming routers. The top-of-the-line Archer GX90 is a tri-band model that promises to deliver up to 574Mbps of wireless throughput on its 2.4GHz network, up to 1,201Mbps on its first 5GHz network, and up to 4,804Mbps on its second 5GHz network that’s specifically dedicated to gaming. This one has a 2.5Gbps WAN/LAN port, a 1Gbps WAN/LAN port, and a three-port gigabit LAN switch onboard. Added connectivity comes in the form of a USB 3.0 port and a USB 2.0 port.
The Archer GX90’s Gaming Accelerator feature will automatically detect gaming-oriented traffic on the network and assign it a higher priority to deliver the best performance with online games. TP-Link expects the Archer GX90 to fetch $330 when it ships in in late Q2.
If you can’t wait, or you don’t need the gaming features, the Archer AX90 is essentially the same router less those gaming optimizations. This model features the same aggressive industrial design and will cost $300 when it ships in April.
