Design
At slightly over 3.5 lb (1.6 kg) and 0.66 inches thin, the ACEMAGIC AX15 laptop is a light and small device. Its total thickness is 0.7′′, or 17.78mm.The top bezel is slightly larger at 10mm, while the sides have 7mm bezels.It has a sizable touchpad of 130 mm in width, a numeric pad on the keyboard, and a 15.6-inch IPS screen with narrow borders.
Ports
Two USB-A ports, one for USB 3.2 Gen 1 and one for USB 2.0, a MicroSD card slot, and a 3.5mm audio connector are located on the right. Two USB-C ports, an HDMI 1.4 output, and an additional USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A are located on the left. One Type-C connector complies with USB 3.2 Gen 1 specifications, while the other is reserved for charging only.
Display & brightness
With its amazing clarity and color accuracy, the wide, bright display is ideal for both work and pleasure, making video editing and streaming a delightful experience.Although the 15.6-inch FHD panel on the ACEMAGIC Ace AX15 is good, our review sample conceded that it was not as bright as it could be, with an average brightness of 219 cd/m2. The brightness reaching its maximum of 229 cd/m² is insufficient to surpass the Fujitsu LifeBook A3510.
Processor
The Intel N95 has four integrated processing cores and a maximum boost frequency of 3.4 GHz. We saw significantly higher performance in our test compared to the Intel Pentium Silver N6000 and Intel Celeron 6305. However, the Intel N95 falls short of what was expected of it. The same SoC performs better in the NanoGi GK3 Plus N95, most likely because of the larger cooling element.
With its outdated UHD Graphics GPU and Intel’s 12th Generation N95 processor at its core, the AX15 was never going to be competitive in terms of computing power. However, Acemagic equipped it with 512GB of SSD storage and 16GB of RAM to keep things running.
Camera
At the top of the screen is a 0.9 MP, 720P facing camera.The 1280 x 720p camera is built inside the ACEMAGIC AX15 bezel. Webcams that are integrated into the majority of modern laptops typically have a resolution of 1080p or 1440p. 4K cameras are recommended by The Gadgeteer because they provide sharper images and allow for frame cropping. It also surprisingly performs well with older games, although its main limitation lies in the absence of a dedicated graphics card, making it less suitable for newer games at higher settings.

A notable feature is the inclusion of 2 HDMI ports, simplifying dual monitor setups without the need for additional cables. This is a significant advantage compared to other mini-PCs that often come with just 1 HDMI or a DP port. With all 4 USB ports being 3.0, there’s no confusion between 2.0 and 3.0 when the PC is mounted behind the computer setup. Additionally, the inclusion of a VGA port provides a retro option, although it hasn’t been tested.

The Zephyrus G14 weighs 3.79 pounds, with dimensions of 12.28 x 8.94 x 0.77 inches, and looks good in Asus’ eye-catching Moonlight White color scheme. The harsh diagonal vents spaced throughout the chassis are counterbalanced by the rounded corners and tapered edges, and the striking AniMe Matrix mini-LED display, an optional addition that costs $600 and is sure to draw attention, is mounted on the rear of the lid.
For the majority of users, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is among the finest gaming laptops available since it’s robust, portable, and has the best battery life (for a gaming laptop). Better, brighter screens are available on the more recent models, along with decent speakers and an AMD CPU/GPU combination that provides strong gaming performance.
