Beelink T4 mini PC review
Design
Beelink T4 Mini PC is designed to have a square shape comes with a black plastic housing that has sides and rear area with different ports and connectors. The dimensions are 106 x 106 x 17.7mm, meaning it’s only a little wider than the palm of one’s hand. In total Beelink T4 has a size of 10.60 x 10.60 x 1.77 cm and a weight of 250 grams, which at a glance can be paired with a traditional external hard drive connected directly to the TV or monitor.

Beelink T4 comes with a Dual wireless antenna and has a Bluetooth of version 4.0. And speaking of the interface these include DC Power Port, DP, HDMI, Microphone Jack, RJ45, USB2.0, and USB3.0.
Dual WiFi
Despite its small size, the mini PC is equipped with a full range of features. It has dual-band Wi-Fi can connect to 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz wireless networks, and 1000 Mbps Ethernet to connect the modem/router via cable.
Hardware
The processor of this mini PC adapts fully with an Intel Atom X5-Z8500 that operates at a frequency of 2.24GHz, accompanied by an integrated Intel HD Graphics 600 GPU, 4 GB of RAM memory and 64 GB of internal storage memory expandable via microSD card. Moreover, it’s worthy of note that its professional video decoding technology makes it comfortable for game lovers and users who would love to play videos. Thus, Beelink T4 makes it viable to play videos in up to 4K resolution.
Beelink T4 mini PC performance review
Installed in the Beelink T4 mini PC we find an Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor with four cores and four threads running between 1.1 and 2.24GHz and an Intel HD Graphics Gen8 GPU up to 600 MHz with 12 EU. This chip has a maximum consumption of only 2 W TDP.

- Thermal: Minimum 41ºC / Maximum 73ºC / Maintains performance up to 100% / Superior heating.
- Continuous extreme performance: Temperature 75ºC Max. / CPU 2.2 GHz / Without thermal throttling.
- Noise: 21db in the cooling fan / Not annoying but audible.
- Game performance: PUBG 83ºC / CPU 2.2 GHz average.
- Overclock: Available but we do not recommend touching the BIOS.
Beelink T4 mini PC Games performance review
We pass several benchmarks with games in the Beelink T4, in this model we have the classic results in the line of this type of products, the Intel HD Graphics Gen8 GPU is perfectly valid for simple games such as those we can find in Android phones downloading them from the Microsoft Store. At the level of emulators at the most we stay in some simple Wii titles. We can also play smoothly 3D light games like LoL or similar, not enough power to play AAA games with demanding 3D.

Audio and Video – Beelink T4 mini PC performance review
Playback performance
In the video playback aspect the Beelink T4 mini PC with the integrated Intel HD Graphics Gen8 have a VPU with hardware support for the basic HEVC codec and as we see it does not support hardware VP9. This processor also does not support 10 bit of color or native HDR content by default and reduces colors at the SD level. A valid device to play 1080p content in h.264 that is mostly extended and in which we can use KODI, IPTV or to use it with PLEX.

Alternate
If $110 is all you can afford to buy a computer then the BT4 is a compelling offer although spending a bit more can, as you’d expect, bring better performance.
The BMAX B1 has a faster Celeron N3060 processor and an extra USB port. On top of that there’s a spare M2 slot and a VGA port, great if you want to use a legacy projector or screen. It costs a tenner extra and would be our preference if you don’t need a DisplayPort.
We did not review the Beelink BT3 but on paper, it looks like the best of the lot thanks to a Celeron J3355 CPU which has a much higher base clock speed. It also supports a SATA storage device like a 2.5-inch hard drive plus it has four USB 3.0 ports and two HDMI connectors.
If you can extend a bit further to $130, then consider the Acute Angle PC which not only has a fabulously inspiring design but also twice the memory and three times the onboard storage. It doesn’t have a card reader though and has only one video connector.
