Design

the DR.J Professional AK-30 projector has a white body. The dimensions are 310 by 230 by 110 mm. The weight is 2500 grams.

Buttons & Ports

The right side buttons are for navigation of the menu as well as “enter/select” in the center. While playing, the left/right buttons act as volume down/up, respectively.

  • Power
  • Menu
  • Back
  • Source

The backside of the projector features VGA, 2x USB, HDMI and SD Card input. There are 3.5mm AV and audio only outputs as well.

I set up a Google Chromecast device by plugging into the HDMI input and powering it by utilizing one of the USB ports on the Dr. J projector. This set-up worked flawlessly. I was able to stream YouTube, Hulu, and  Netflix without any issues.

Display

DR. J Professional LED Projector enables the projection display from 50″ to 300″ at the distance of 1.5M to 5M. To get the best display image quality, we recommend you to project at the distance of 3.5M.

Screen

A nice included bonus was a 100″ fabric screen. This isn’t the most expensive screen in the world but it’s a nice fabric screen with grommets to quickly hang it in your home or backyard. It’s a $20-$40 screen that will do the job. It’s a nice bonus that makes this projector an even better bargain.

Resolution

So, the projector has LCD display technology and LED light. The native resolution is Full HD, 1920 by 1080 pixels. Place the projector at a distance from 1 to 9 meters from the wall. Then, the projection size will be from 50 to 300 inches. The aspect ratio is 4:3 or 16:9. The keystone is plus-minus 15 degrees.

Keystone adjustment

The focus and keystone dials are 100% manual. When you spin these dials you are adjusting physical pieces. The adjustments didn’t feel super smooth in my testing compared to more expensive projectors. Some of the higher-end pico projectors on the market will actually auto-focus and auto adjust the keystone

Brightness

It is 7500Lumens Native 1080P 4K Projector. It deliverers a much higher quality picture, the colour is vivid and resolution is much better. It is more than enough for using as a home theatre.

Audio

Sound quality is quite impressive, even at half volume it is loud enough in a small space.

Control – DR. J Professional 7500 Lumens projector

I also want to show you the remote control. Actually, it has the same buttons as the control panel on the projector. However, of course, it is more comfortable to use remote control then go to the projector every time you want to change the video or turn the volume up or down. Let’s go to the settings menu. There are four sections available in the settings, such as network, projection, advanced, and information.

In projection, there is only one option available – projection mode. This function is useful, for example, when you have placed the projector upside down on the ceiling.

Noise

The noise volume of this projector is about 43 dB. Yes, you will hear the projector making noise in a quiet room, but that’s not a problem when you are watching a movie.

Setting – DR. J Professional 7500 Lumens projector

Before using a projector, you need connect the power cable and switch on the power. There is also a VGA port, the second IR receiver, two USB ports, a TF card slot, an AV, and a 3.5mm audio jack on the back of the projector.

There is also Wi-Fi support, so you use Miracast or iOS cast for wireless connection with Android and iOS smartphones. By the way, you can also connect mobile devices to the projector using a USB cable.

You can also play video or presentation from a USB flash drive or TF memory card.
