XFX Radeon RX 6600 XT Speedster SWFT 210 review
Design
The XFX Speedster SWFT 210 Radeon RX 6600 comes with a dual-fan cooler and has a dimension of 244mm x 118mm x 38mm, which is compact enough to fit in most of the PC cases. The dual-slot, dual-fan XFX Speedster SWFT RX 6600 is 10.1 inches long, which is larger than many 1080p gamers might like. It’s equipped with 16GB of G.Skill DDR4 memory and a solid-state boot drive.
Ports
As for ports, the back of our XFX card contains the same standard lineup – three DisplayPort 1.4b outputs, one HDMI 2.1 port, and no VirtualLink.
Frame rate
The Radeon RX 6600 is primarily intended for 1080p gaming. Older games and some lighter esports fare can run at higher resolutions and still break 60 fps, but more demanding games already struggle at maxed out 1080p settings.
Temperature
We’ve also compared the thermal performance and power draw for both the RX 6600 and RX 6600 XT here using the FurMark GPU burn-in utility, just to see how hot the GPU will get and how much power is it drawing under load.

Even though the load temperature totally depends on the cooler design from the board partners, both cards are doing just fine throughout the test and it never goes more than 60°C after many reruns during the testing period.
Power consumption
Speaking of that 132-watt power requirement, it’s quite a bit lower than Nvidia’s 170-watt baseline for the GeForce RTX 3060—22% lower, to be exact. This is a considerable margin, and for users trying to build a low-power, small-form-factor 1080p gaming machine (a popular build type for many gamers) arguably gives the Radeon RX 6600 its strongest advantage over Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3060.

The RX 6600 sports a boost clock a little less than 100MHz below the RX 6600 XT’s and slightly fewer active stream processors, but other than that (and the oddly specific power requirements) the two cards share specs up and down the line.
True to form, AMD’s drivers threw a couple curveballs into our results. Though the overall trend of the Radeon RX 6600 being just a tad slower than Nvidia’s RTX 3060 persisted, there were exceptions such as Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, where the XFX RX 6600 outpaced both the RTX 3060 and the RX 6600 XT.
As a straight competitor to the RX 6600 XT, the RX 6600’s value proposition muddies a bit. Despite only being 15% less expensive than the RX 6600 XT at list price, the RX 6600 was roughly 25% slower in many 1080p and 1440p AAA and multiplayer games, and the same rang true against Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3060 Ti (a card that had no problem running every version of DirectX we threw its way at full power).

Great card, but warning: not just for gamers.
Very good little card for 1080p gaming if you’re not looking to amp up to 1440p. Runs above a 5700xt if you’re familiar with that little gem. If you want a basic gaming box without breaking the bank, and can get it at stated MSRP, stop waiting and just do it.
That said, you may think something this lightweight wouldn’t grab the attention of miners. Nothing could be further from reality. While the 6600XT is no speed demon in ETH MH/s, it is remarkably efficient for power management. An nvidia 3080 non-LHR can pull around 102 MH/s, but burn 240W in the process, thereby netting around 450 kH/W. This little card only churn approximately 32 MH/s, but can do it on only around 45W, thereby netting approximately 700 kH/W. Miners looking to setup inexpensive workhorse rigs can save considerable money on energy by stacking these.
So, if you’re interested in it, and the opportunity comes up to get it as MSRP, do NOT hesitate. Just get it. It isn’t that much money at MSRP, runs very well for 1080p gaming, and will serve you reliably until sanity returns to the marketplace.

AMD came out swinging with the Radeon RX 6800. It isn’t the most powerful around, but it goes toe to toe with Nvidia’s RTX 3070 in pretty much any match-up that doesn’t pull in ray-tracing and DLSS, and it usually comes out ahead. This performance sees it especially well suited for 1440p gameplay, where you can enjoy high frame rates.
The AMD Radeon RX 6800 needs a modest 250 watts of power, which should make it easier to slot into existing computers without needing to upgrade your power supply to something beefier. Plus, its new design with a 3-fan cooler system makes it quieter and more stylish.
And, even if you’re only gaming at 1440p, the RX 6800’s 16GB of GDDR6 memory will serve as a solid buffer for your frames as well as home to extra-high resolution textures — the last thing you want is sharp and smooth visuals to show off low-res game textures because your card didn’t have enough VRAM.
