Design
The top half of the screen is thin, measuring just 0.25 inches, while the components are crammed in behind the bottom half. The Acer is smaller and weighs less than half as much (just 8.8 pounds against 19.7) than the 27-inch iMac, measuring 24.2 inches wide by 17.7 inches high. It is supported by a basic stand that tilts 30 degrees but does not rotate horizontally. Its dimensions—612 mm wide by 446 mm tall—accommodate the screen size, and its stand-mounted depth of 37.3 mm is all it needs to be.
Ports
With one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, and one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, the communication is comparatively simple. Remember that the wireless dongle for the included keyboard and mouse will take up the first slot right away. You do, however, receive an HDMI out, an RJ-45 for Gigabit Ethernet, and compatibility for Bluetooth 5 and Wi-Fi 6E for wireless networking and other peripherals.
Display

Brightness
With a maximum brightness of 288cd/m2, the contrast ratio of 1,047.9:1 is only passable. It’s more than functional as long as you stay away from bright windows, and it works well for watching Netflix or YouTube when you need some downtime. However, you’ll have to pay a little bit extra if you want a crisper, brighter image. Positively, color reproduction is better than one might anticipate; the screen covers 98.8% of the sRGB color gamut and 78% of DCI-P3. Color accuracy is also fairly high, as evidenced by the average Delta-E of just 1.86.
Camera
It has a 720p webcam above the screen. The camera is equally as bad as those found on low-cost laptops; it produces dark, blurry, underexposed images that are dotted with static or noise. It’s hardly functional for Zoom meetings or any other kind of application. Maybe this explains why the Aspire C27’s top half is so thin—it makes it simple to mount an external webcam. If nothing else, the camera features a real privacy shutter that allows you to cover the lens that you seldom ever use.
Wireless receiver
Since the wireless keyboard and mouse are connected with a single USB receiver, setting them up is as simple as plugging them into one of the three back USB ports and leaving them there. There are no connection ports on the keyboard or mouse, and they are both powered by pre-installed AAA batteries. The keyboard is always on and there is no way to turn off the electricity other than taking out the battery from the tiny mouse, which has a straightforward on/off switch on the bottom.

The GeForce MX330 is an entry-level mobile GPU with 2GB of dedicated display memory that is an improvement over CPU-based integrated graphics, whereas the Core i7 is a quad-core mobile CPU.
The 8GB of DDR4 that is presently installed only takes up one of the two DIMM slots; both the RAM and the SSD can be upgraded. There isn’t an easy access panel to be discovered, so you’ll need to be skilled with a screwdriver and a pry tool to access them or the solitary M.2 slot.

However, if you adjust the overdrive to low, there is minimal overshoot and ghosting, and it seems fairly fast. All of this adds up to a monitor that should work well for the majority of modern mainstream gamers. It’s speedy and quick enough, but more importantly, it delivers an excellent picture experience right out of the box.
The monitor is quite precisely calibrated and things appear reasonably colorful for such a cheap monitor, with the gorgeous deep blacks and fantastic contrast that you’d expect from a VA panel. However, the HDR experience is disappointingly lackluster.
Finally, because of its tiny bezels and tri-leg aluminum stand, this device looks quite expensive when placed on a desk. For the price, we believe this would be a fantastic addition to anyone’s desk.
