Eventek’s EV charger is a well-built, feature-rich charger. This one is worth your attention because of its obvious higher quality, very thick chord, 8-40-amp range, and app control. Is it possible to get a history of your charging sessions? The charging sessions are listed in the app’s “Charging Record” section. Know more of Eventek level 2 EV charger.

Eventek level 2 EV charger review
Build & Design
This heavy-duty unit is simple to operate manually. It appears to be waterproof. This item’s packaging dimensions are 20.21 x 15.84 x 9.5 inches and it weighs around 19 pounds. EV charger level 2 is compatible with all EVs, PEVs, and PHEVs, including Tesla models, the Chevrolet Volt and Bolt EV, the Hyundai Kona and Ioniq, the Kia NIRO, the Nissan LEAF, the Toyota Prius Prime, the BMW i3, the Honda Clarity, the Chrysler Pacifica, the Jaguar I-PACE, and others.
Cable length
The unit is simple to install and retains the heavy-duty cable securely. The wires are substantially thicker than the one that came with my Tesla charger. The cable’s length is 25 feet. The 25′ cable is long enough to reach either side of your car.
NEMA plug
It comes with NEMA 14-50 plug option.
Charging speed
This Smart Home EV charger has a maximum current of up to 40A (8A-40A). With a maximum output power of 10kw, charging speed is never an issue, saving you time. Your vehicle will be charged for 3.6 – 4.0 hours.
Eventek level 2 EV charger Installation
It’s quite simple if you already have a Nema 14-50 plug; simply plug it in. If not, they aren’t particularly difficult, but most people recommend hiring an electrician to install the plug. In either case, it’s worthwhile because you’ll dramatically reduce charging time compared to level 1 charging.
Installing the EVENTEK charger indoors or outdoors is as simple as installing a 14-50R receptacle. The charger will be protected from the elements by being enclosed in a sturdy, weatherproof NEMA 4X type enclosure that is water and dust resistant up to IP67.
Eventek level 2 EV charger Apps
The ET Charger APP can be used to operate the charger and enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Manage charging periods by scheduling charging appointments not only when you are away from home, but also during off-peak power hours.
Eventek level 2 EV charger Performance review
This charger performs admirably, providing 40A/240V rapid charging for J1772 EVs or Teslas with an adaptor. The software is rather useful without demanding a lot of data and permissions, and it allows you to control and track the charger’s usage via Bluetooth or WiFi.
Eventek level 2 EV charger troubleshooting – 0064 Error
Out of the package, I got Error 0064. When I emailed sales@even-tools, I was told that the emergency stop button is activated from the factory for safety reasons. This results in the new error 0064 being displayed out of the box. Resetting the emergency stop button will resolve the fault and return the unit to operational status.
Eventek level 2 EV charger alternative
As the most feature-rich, Wi-Fi-enabled Level 2 chargers, the JuiceBox and ChargePoint are far ahead of the competition. One minor advantage of the JuiceBox is that it is available in a variety of output levels, and it is currently much cheaper. In addition to the 40-amp version we tested, there’s a 48-amp version that matches the Tesla Wall Connector for the highest output of this group, or a 32-amp version that costs slightly less (we couldn’t use the JuiceBox 40’s full output anyway because we were using a 40-amp circuit).
The JuiceBox, like the ChargePoint, offers comprehensive energy output and charge time for each charging session, as well as numerous customizable notifications and the opportunity to set up customised charge times to take advantage of varying electricity pricing. The JuiceBox’s car database is larger and more up to date, but it cannot compete with ChargePoint’s detailed utility price information.
