Build

Made with a particleboard desktop, this standing desk is also available in a splice board option combining black and natural wood-looking materials. This is the only real area of the desk that doesn’t feel premium as there’s no solid wood to count on. However, solid wood standing desks are typically at least 3 times more expensive.

Design

The base has a single electric motor and single-stage (two segment) legs. It features a height range of 27.76″-46.63″ and has a weight capacity of 155 lbs. There is an under-desk pull-out drawer in the middle, and it features an anti-collision technology.

Accessories

Desk hooks are also shipped in a box. You can rely on these to hang your headphones or a sports coat. At the same time, all of those who love using balance boards for standing can hang them on these included hooks,

A cable management tray is offered with the desk. It allows you to have all of your monitor cables together which is useful when trying to create a tidy working place. With desk lamp cables, laptop cables, and other multiple cables, it can easily become overwhelming and you can pay up to $80 with other standing desk brands to purchase it separately.

Height adjustment

The desk will stop automatically when it meets desk items beneath during the lifting process. It has a height range of 28.36 “- 46.06″ and is ideal for users 4’8″ to 6’3” tall. Remember your favorite height for different scenes. Free your hands – no need to adjust the height frequently during the lifting process. There are 4 preset buttons to customize your desired heights from 28.36 inches to 46.06 inch.

Assemble

Assembly will be fairly extensive, including the first flat desktop we’ve ever seen that comes in multiple pieces and needs to be assembled. We have a hard time believing these desktop pieces will fit together perfectly so you should expect a noticeable seam down the middle of your desktop.

The two-piece desktop combined with the single-stage frame means this desk will likely be very unstable at standing heights.

Use

The FEZIBO sit-stand desk frame operates via a control panel which is a small plastic material. But some might find it too flimsy. And you might be comparing it to the all-metal frame structure of the FEZIBO. So the plastic control panel can be quite noticeable.

The control panel is quite responsive so it works okay. You can use the up and down arrows to increase the height of the desk. And It also offers a preset setting located on the right side of the panel.

It can reach up to 52.56 inches in height. So it’s a perfect fit for the taller ones.

Cons

-Free trial limitations

Not too sure if you want to purchase a standing desk? Think that maybe testing one out – trying before you buy – could be the way to go? Flomotion makes this possible for customers based in the UK, and offers an impressive level of customer service going by online feedback on the firm.

None of this would matter much if the standing desks Flomotion makes weren’t up to scratch, of course, but this isn’t the case. Flomotion offers a wide variety of wood types for its desktops – handmade, and locally sourced – and a newly introduced high-quality sit/stand desk frame (called Skyflo; you can buy the frame only, if you wish).

The Skyflo frame is rated for 120kg of lift capacity and is suitably quiet when moving up or down with dual motors. It also boasts anti-collision detection, and a nifty control panel that offers Bluetooth connectivity and an app to control the height (plus various memory positions can be set). In short, it’s a smart desk frame indeed.

As mentioned, one of the big attractions here is the ability to try out a desk, for free if you live within 30 miles of Norwich (and that includes free delivery and setup). Those further afield in the UK can still get a two-week trial, but will have to set up the desk themselves, and pay a collection fee if the product has to go back to the manufacturer (a £60 charge, or £40 for a frame-only). Customer service is top-notch, according to the feedback we’ve seen.

Note that at the time of writing, the trial option has been suspended due to the situation with Covid-19, but when things get more back to normal, hopefully so will the trial.

Those in the US looking for a free trial option for a standing desk should head over to FlexiSpot (a company which has a couple of products elsewhere in this list), as it’s currently running risk-free trials for businesses.
