CubiCubi computer desk 40 inch with storage shelves review

Build

This desk unifies rigid metal with tasteful, rustic brown and black wooden boards. It is as fashionable as functional that the splice board and 2-tier open shelves design. Made the right choice for your home. Enrich Your Use Space: 2-tier open shelves for storage, providing plenty of room for under-desk storage and organization.

Design

Its Rigid metal frame with double iron strut design and adjustable leg pads provide greater stability. It comes in 4 sizes of 40 “47” 55 “63”, and 4 colors of rustic brown and black, and espresso and black. The dimensions of the 40″ desk are L:39.4″ × W:19.7″ × H:29.5″ and the dimensions of the 47″ desk are L:47.2″ × W:23.6″ × H:29.5″. So it is recommended that you buy a 55 “or 63” desk later, it may be more fit 2 monitors.

Height adjustment

Legroom- the area where you sit is 34″ wide and 28″ from floor to the bottom rail of the tabletop. I have a 24″ monitor, 13″ laptop and a large scanner on the top, all fit fine.

Assemble

I first assembled one desk according to the directions exactly and then the next desk I simply flipped around the frame parts so the back of the desk with the holes corresponding to the placement of the back support bar would be against the wall and just assembled it in reverse mirror image from the first one. Not rocket science just takes attention to detail. The top of these desks are also really pretty. The wood part looks like real wood even fairly close up and the laminate is textured with a wood grain look.

Use

I like that it is lightweight; I move it around a lot, so the fact that it slides super easy into whatever new position I need is excellent. I’m sure the ease of movement is aided by the furniture slider pads I added to the bottom, but even without those it would be easy to maneuver.

This desk provides sufficient space for the computer and accessories. It makes working with the computer much more comfortable.

ApexDesk Elite

Specs

Type: MotorizedHeight range: 29-inches – 48-inchesDesktop size: 60-71-inches x 33-inches

Pros

+High-quality build+Large desktop surface area+Competitive pricing+Lifting capacity of 100kg+Grommets make it easy to run cables

Cons

-Slow lifting mechanism

There are actually two sizes with a 60-inch and 71-inch version of the Elite, but obviously if you want maximum desk space, go with the latter, which also has a depth of 33-inches – more than most (it’s a few inches deeper than the Uplift, for example).

Need a lot of desk space for all your stuff, like multiple monitors, or other peripherals? Then ApexDesk Elite is a good port of call for another high-quality desk that delivers some serious desktop real-estate – and the real bonus is that it’s nicely priced for what you’re getting here.

The lifting capacity is just over 100kg to ensure you can indeed fit plenty of hefty bits of hardware on top of this desk. The Elite is sturdily built with the center beam providing greater stability (without having to have a crossbar underneath).

It’s a superbly built standing desk with a dual-motor lifting system, featuring a smooth, albeit a little slow, lifting mechanism (and a controller with the ability to set four preset heights).

Furthermore, you can get some pretty smart deals on these desks if you shop around, and if you go the ApexDesk route, you’ll likely get a lot of desk for your money.
