JWST 100′′ 4K HD projector screen with stand review

Build

The PVC elastic 100 Inch movie screen is designed for providing Sharp and high-resolution images, enriched colors as well as supreme watching experience from different viewing position. The black backing screen prevent Excessive light penetration for a better display.

Mounting

I bought the 100″ version and mounted it on a wooden frame. Yes, you will have creases/wrinkles, but they do come out. I highly recommend mounting it to a frame (look online for DIY options. Mine cost ~ $20 to build.) A couple of things you can try to eliminate creases include leaving the mounted screen in a steamy garage on a summer day or use a blow dryer on LOW heat on the BACK of the screen.

Gain and viewing angle

The best projector screen needs wide viewing angle excellent anti-reflective properties. It has excellent projection display – active 3D and 4K Ultra HD, decent size 16: 9 Aspect Ratio, with 160 degree wide viewing angle. For a larger gathering, a screen with a wide-angle of at least 160-degrees is recommended. A wide viewing angle allows a group of people to spread out and still watch comfortably without straining or distortion.

Easy setup

The screen needs to come with necessary hardware that allows for easy setup. And the screen image was just as stunning as the 120” setup. The viewing screen was not the grey tint, two-way screen, but the padded white with black backing, and the upsize was perfect. And it also turned out to have a slightly larger viewing screen than my original 144” Gemmy inflatable. Now I not only have two awesome JWSIT setups, but if need be, I can reluctantly use my 120” as a loaner when friends and family come a drooling

Stability

This JWST 100′′ 4K HD projector screen with stand is extremely sturdy and stable. It has a rigid frame construction to offer excellent stability. The screen needs to appear as if it is fixed on the wall.

Foldable and easy to store

JWST 100′′ 4K HD projector screen with stand is pretty easy to store after use. A foldable screen allows for easy storage but lookout for wrinkles. Folding the screen can lead to some wrinkles. If you mind the small wrinkles, then choose a screen made of PVC material or consider storing your screen without folding.

Rear and front projection

Depending on how you want to set up your projector, this JWST 100′′ 4K HD projector screen with stand supports that setup. A versatile projector screen supports both the front and rear projections making it the best buy.

OPTOMA UHD60 3000 LUMENS 4K UHD PROJECTOR

Best 4K outdoor projector: it is big $$$s, yep, but it could be soo worth it

This projector has flown off the shelves and we’re not sure when it’ll be back in stock. If / when it is, our handy widget will show you where it is available to buy for the best price.

If you’re looking for the best 4K viewing outdoors, and you’re prepared to pay the hefty price tag, then this is the projector for you.

And impressive sound
As well as a stunning visual experience, this model also boasts impressive stereo sound. This is where the Optoma UHD60 really makes an impression compared with other models on the market.

Enjoy a truly stunning visual experience
For your money, you’re guaranteed to receive stunning 4K quality and incredible color contrasting. This means enjoying your favorite film and TV series in the best possible quality.

Arguably, this is the kind of stereo you buy for your cinema room (it’s hard to justify the outlay otherwise), but when you want to benefit from the full 4K quality of your Blu-ray DVDs outside, this is the kind of money you’re going to have to spend.

GOODEE UPGRADED VIDEO PROJECTOR

Best outdoor projector if you’re looking for an entry level: the upgraded brightness makes the image bigger and brighter than ever before

This projector is another good option if budget is tight, and it comes highly recommended on Amazon with reference to an easy setup and good picture quality, too.

Upgraded brightness
This model is an upgrade from one of the best selling projectors at GooDee, and they’ve upgraded the lumens to make it a whole lot brighter. Together with the 3000: 1 contrast ratio and wider viewing, you’ll be able to enjoy this bigger, brighter image in low light or in an outdoor spot like the backyard.

Get connected
This video projector can easily connect to a range of devices: Amazon Fire Stick, Chromecast, PC, laptop, tablet, and so on, via the HDMI, USB, VGA and AV ports. (Phew! That’s a lot of entertainment coverage, right there!) So, with this in mind, you can not only stream content from a range of devices but you could also set up some surround sound with 2 built-in 3W speakers, too.

Large viewing screen range
This projector works on a wide variety of screen sizes, with viewing screen range of 44″-230″, at distances of 4. 9ft – 18ft. It works optimally with a 98″ screen at a distance of 10 ft. away.

Buying guide for best projectors

There are many factors to consider when choosing the best outdoor projector for you; below are the most important ones, which we considered while we were researching this list.

Native Resolution: A lot of projectors accept HD content, but very few of them can actually produce an HD image. Many of them use a technology called “downsampling,” which means it takes a high resolution image, and scrunches it down to a lower quality one. Think of it this way: You could play a Blu-ray on an old tube TV. We made sure that all of the projectors in our guide have a minimum native resolution of 720p, so your movies and TV shows will look as good as possible.

Brightness: The video thrown by a projector is highly susceptible to light pollution, which will dim the image before it hits your screen or wall. The brighter the projector, the more it’s able to overcome light pollution. Light is measured in Lumins, and our picks all have a luminosity of at least 600, but most are between 2,000 and 3,000.

Throw Distance: This is a math equation that calculates how big a projector’s image will be based on how far away it is from the screen or wall it’s projecting onto. The further away the projector is from the wall, the larger the image will be. Some projectors are categorized as “short throw,” which means they’re calibrated to throw a larger image from a shorter distance.

Speakers: Not all projectors have built-in speakers — they’re about displaying video, after all — which means you may have to connect an external set. We mostly stuck to projectors that have an integrated speaker system, but for a full movie theater experience, you’ll probably want to invest in some good audio gear.

Ports: Ports let you connect computers, game consoles, phones, or tablets to the projector, so more is better. We chose projectors that have a wide array of ports, including HDMI, VGA, and USB. Some even support WiFi or Bluetooth, which lets you connect them to your phone or other accessories wirelessly.
