Lenovo ThinkCentre M900 tiny business PC Intel 6th Gen is a Small form factor (SFF) tower with the latest in Intel® Core™ processors and up to 32 GB of memory with two drive bays offer the performance and expandability you need. I was impressed with all the extras like a mouse and keyboard the PC came with along with WiFi and Bluetooth dongles. Lenovo ThinkCentre M900 tiny business PC Intel 6th Gen review

Build

The ThinkCentre M900 is built to military specifications, and can withstand punishing treatment – humid environments, extreme temperatures, sustained vibration, dust, fungus and solar radiation. Add a solid-state drive (SSD), to keep your data safe from damage

Design

The ThinkCentre M900 Tiny is everything that you need in a compact size: durable, manageable, expandable, flexible – do-able.

Connectors

This desktop has you covered with fast data transfer and support for USB 3.0 (including fast charge), DisplayPort, VGA, HDMI, LAN and serial connections. Connect up to three monitors to make navigation between applications easier and improve productivity. And even with this compact unit mounted on the back of your monitor, you can still power on conveniently with a corded or wireless USB keyboard.

Memory upgrade

The ThinkCentre M900 Tiny fits just about anywhere, but is still flexible, offering one 2.5” bay or one M.2 slot for your choice of storage, and up to 16 GB of memory with expansion slots for up to 32 GB.

Processor

With the Intel Core i7-6700, you get a quad-core processor that has eight threads of execution, which is almost like having eight cores. This provides exceptional computing power that allows you to multitask without slowing down your computer, which is illustrated in the high PassMark score of 11,000.

Memory

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M900 comes with 8GB of memory, which is the standard amount of memory for business desktop computers at the $1,000 range. With this much memory, you won’t have any trouble running most business programs like Excel, PowerPoint and Word or data-intensive programs like video-editing software.

Upgrade option

You can upgrade to, but you can add a second 1-TB hard drive. For most business computers, 1TB of storage is enough for several years, unless you have a lot of music and videos.

There are four expansion slots on the motherboard, with two internal drive bays and two external drive bays. These allow you to add more hard drives to increase storage or other devices needed for your business, like audio or video cards. But as mentioned, you need to upgrade the power supply unit if you add any components.

Lenovo ThinkCentre M900 Tiny PC Performance review

I have a multi-monitor setup in my office and in the past I had to use an Nvidia card to do that and it was a real hassle since Nvidia will not provide open drivers for their hardware. I got tired of that fight and bought this lenovo for the multiple video ports driven by Intel graphics. It’s been awesome. I can update my kernel whenever a new update comes with zero worries, everything keeps going just fine.

The machine is quiet and quick, handling all my needs. I don’t play games or anything like that. I do programming, system administration and normal office type stuff, browser, etc.

The small footprint is great on my desk and I’m really enjoying it. Fast boot due to SSD. Fan is virtually silent after boot up. Came with a bonus installed third display port output. Minimal bloatware, probably due to this being essentially a professional machine.
