Foot pad & Arthritis pads

The Revitive Osteoarthritis-Knee model has larger thigh pads that are designed to deliver electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to the quadriceps muscles which may help to strengthen thigh muscles that support the knee. This extra support may reduce aches, pains and swelling associated with knee osteoarthritis.

The foot pads also use EMS to stimulate the muscles in your calf and food to contract and relax – this can assist to increase circulation in the lower legs.

This achieves two goals: better blood circulation and stronger muscles. While the foot pads strengthen the knees from below the pads strengthen the knees from above. The combined effect is much more potent than if you just used the foot pads on their own.

Intensity levels

The foot pads come with 99 different intensity levels. You can opt for lower intensity when starting out until you get used to the initially strange feeling. With time, you can keep revving up the intensity until you get to your ideal comfort level.

NEW DualAction Medic Knee combines foot-pad stimulation with Arthritis Pads for thigh stimulation – for targeted relief and superior management of pain, swelling and stiffness, caused by Osteoarthritis of the knee and for use following knee surgery.

Arthritis mode

If you do have the Osteoarthritis-Knee model it is important to note that the Arthritis mode is slightly different to the waveforms you feel via the foot pads. In Arthritis-mode there will be 10 seconds of stimulation, followed by a 50-second rest period, when no stimulation is felt. If the sensation feels strong then you will be working the muscles. If the sensation is quite weak – you may need to increase a little.

IsoRocker

The advanced IsoRocker allows a greater range of ankle joint movement, replicating heel-toe raises, as the leg muscles contract and relax. The rocking action allows movement of the ankle joint, without placing undue pressure on legs and feet.

Recommended use duration

The thigh pads help to deliver the stimulation to the quadriceps muscles to assist with Osteoarthritis of the knee or other concerns in this area. If you do choose to use the thigh pads, we suggest 1 x 20 minute session per day on the effected leg/s 5 times in a week.

STEP 1: SETTING UP REVITIVE FOR THE FIRST TIME

a Remove all parts from the box:
• AC/DC power adaptor
• REVITIVE device
• Arthritis Pads x 2 pairs
• Arthritis Pad cord
• Remote control
• AAA batteries x 2

b Locate the remote control and insert the batteries.

STEP 2: SETTING UP REVITIVE FOR USE

a Turn the device over so that you can see the IsoRocker and the IsoRocker Disabler.
• The IsoRocker allows REVITIVE to rock while stimulating your legs and feet.
• REVITIVE will begin rocking on the IsoRocker once muscle contractions are strong enough.
• The Isorocker feature can be disabled, by opening the IsoRocker Disabler. REVITIVE will then be static and it will not rock during use.
b If you want to use the IsoRocker, leave the IsoRocker Disabler in place (ie flat) on the bottom of the device, as shown.
c If you do not want to use the IsoRocker
• Open the IsoRocker Disabler on the bottom of REVITIVE. You may have to pull hard.

• Pull the IsoRocker Disabler back until it clicks open, as shown.
• To re-enable the IsoRocker, pull the IsoRocker Disabler and press into place on the bottom of the device (ie flat).

STEP 3: POWERING REVITIVE

REVITIVE can be powered from either the rechargeable battery or by connecting it to an electrical socket. Now you are ready to go to use Arthritis pad or foot pad as per your requirement.

Portable knee therapy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Revitive Medic Knee is your own personal therapy system for knee pain. I suffer from knee problems, weak ankles and bad circulation and this revolutionary device has been designed to help pain from the ‘feet up and the thigh down’ through stimulation which helps strengthen the muscles around the knee and improves circulation to alleviate pain. It’s a really slick piece of equipment; lightweight, highly portable and cordless with a charge which can last for up to 3.5 hours. I sit with it quite happily under my desk whilst working and just let it do its thing, occasionally adjusting the intensity or increasing the time with the aid of the handy and easy to use remote control. I have been using all three options every day.
Using the foot pads and the Isorocker are quite an unnerving sensation at first, but once you get used it, the visible muscle contractions in your calves and the ankle movement feels like it’s really having an effect. I haven’t managed to get over intensity level 45 but I’m developing more confidence and building up to it. The thigh pads are also brilliant (I’m at level 47 and increasing) and I can visibly watch my thigh muscles working which is undoubtedly helping strengthen my knees. I have also used the small Tens pads around the knee area to help with pain caused by tendonitis which is more of a comforting tingling sensation.
I only have a couple of small gripes which concern the electrode pads. Firstly, I am constantly losing the liner or piece of plastic to keep them on (couldn’t there be higher quality option for keeping the pads rather than a piece of plastic?) and secondly the pads need to be replaced after 20 uses which at this rate means every three weeks.
In summary though, although it’s early days, my knee pain seems to be gradually subsiding. Overall a brilliant piece of kit which seems to be having a positive effect and I’m absolutely delighted with it.

Which Revitive is good for Arthritis treatment?

Revitive has two devices that may help relieve symptoms associated with Osteoarthritis in the Knee: Revitive Medic Coach or Revitive Osteoarthritis Knee.
