Is Samsung 34 Odyssey G85SB good for PS5 ?
The monitor works well with the PS5, despite a few glitches. 4k at 60Hz requires you to turn off Game Mode in order for it to work, even with the HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, which increases input lag. Moreover, 4k @ 120Hz is not supported at all. Because the display has a Micro HDMI port, the PS5 must be connected via an HDMI to Micro HDMI cable or an adapter.

Calibration settings
Custom forces the G8 into sRGB mode. Alternatively, select Auto to have the color change dependent on the type of signal automatically. I only observed a few bright spots in the shadows during testing, which was the only issue. To fix the problem, I moved the Shadow Detail slider to -2. For SDR content, I advise use the Graphic picture mode. Movie is the most accurate mode on a Smart TV for watching HDR content. My settings are listed below.

Use Blank Screensaver for this OLED Beauty
This monitor/tv is quite elegant with a beautiful picture. But by giving us more it kind of makes it worse. This device is set up to be used as a stand alone tv without pc connection. There is a remote with Disney, Netflix and Prime buttons. It is pretty easy to set up and use just as a monitor for a Windows 11 pc like I am. Unlike regular LED there is some burn in for OLED. Consequently most people do not leave the screen on for the entire day like they might for a regular monitor. I tried all sorts of power schemes but there are all sorts of things that wake this monitor from Sleep. I was never able to isolate the issues so it kept waking every few minutes. So “Sleep” doesn’t really help. What does work is to go to Screensaver and select “Blank”. This works great.
