Does it have stand to place as tabletop? There is a metal stand in the box that works like an easel. The “rounded” section should be at the top and the very small metal lip at the bottom. The frame will sit nicely and the stand will be all but invisible. This digital photo frame has an internal memory that will hold over 1,000 high resolution photos, plus it accepts both SD Cards and USB sticks for extended memory. Design

The quality of the frame and the picture quality are outstanding. friends and family smart digital picture frame measures at 15.4 x 10.9 x 2.6 inches and weighs only 2.8 pounds. It has metal stand in the box that works like an easel.

Display

The display is nice and materials are quality.  It has a touch screen with 1080p resolution which is easy to use the PhotoShare app a nice clear crisp picture, and a nice looking wood look frame. I have sent hundreds of pictures to the frame wirelessly and have had a friend set up the PhotoShare app to see if she was able to send photos.

Storage

It has an internal storage of 8 GB that holds upto 5,000+ Photos. It features both SD and USB slots for fast and easy import of digital photos, music and video.

Photo share

This is a great digital photo that allows family and friends to share pictures with a simple email. You can show videos and choose to have sound on or off. You can view all photos as thumbnails and select ones you want to delete. It shows the weather and time for my location, maybe it’s tied to the WiFi for that.

App

These are v easy to set up, and once set up even easier to use. With the free PhotoShare Frame app (available for iOS and Android), up to 50 photos at a time may be sent to up to or more PhotoShare Frames at once, making it a snap to share your memories with your entire network of family and friends.

Built-in ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the brightness of the display to match the lighting in the room. Day or night, your favorite photos will come to life in all their brilliant glory. The Clock & Calendar feature displays date and time along the bottom of the screen to keep you on time, up to date and in touch with family and friends.

Great gift idea

I purchased this as a gift to my mom. I had purchased two previously and we both love them. I’m not sure about hers but the ones I had purchased before didn’t have a backing so you need to purchase something to hold it up. It wasn’t a big deal as I found some online. It has holes in back if you want to hang it but I don’t think anybody would as it always has to be plugged in for power. I’m able to send photos directly from my phone to the frame.

App (for this frame) is ok the reason this doesn’t get a 5 star review.

Cons

-Does not play videos-No ports or internal storage

-Ambient light sensor can be finicky

Many digital picture frames promise clear and bright images, but there is a profound difference when seeing your photos on the Aura frame, which is 9 inches with a 4:3 aspect ratio. Colors are vivid but realistic, and the 224 ppi resolution screen displays the depth of color as well as exquisite detail.

The Aura relies on its iOS and Android app more than most other digital frames. That’s because the frame accepts only cloud input – no SD cards or thumb drives. The Aura Mason also features a Smart Suggestions feature that helps choose images from your gallery.

An ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the display’s brightness and an auto function turns off the frame when it’s dark in the room. There’s no touch screen – and thus no finger smudges to mar the view. Instead, the frame operates via two touch bars: one on top and the other on the side of the unit.

The Aura Mason Frame comes in two colors – Graphite and White Quartz – and it sits on your table in either landscape or portrait orientation. The frame is a work of art from the outside in.
