Design & build

The extra-large shape of VANKYO’s unique front lens draws attention to its black aluminium chassis. The projector is a hefty item with dimensions of 310 x 239 x 117mm and a weight of 2.5kg. It weighs over five pounds, which is around 20% more than the 410 of a comparable size.

Ports

Two USB connections are available, one of which is primarily used to power streaming devices like the Google Chromecast. Additionally, the ports can be used to enter a thumb drive containing media files; a large number of file types, including MKV, are supported.

Display

The smallest focus distance is 4.9 feet, which is equivalent to a 44-inch display. To create a 98-inch image, you must go back 9.8 feet, and 18.4 feet results in a massive 200-inch image. The Leisure 510 Full HD Projector, with screen sizes between 44″ and 200″, has little trouble filling a larger wall. You’ll be roughly 8 feet and 18 feet apart for those lengths to get the ideal viewing area.

Resolution

With all due respect, the projector can accept a 1080p feed and scale it to 1280 x 768, but that does not deem it to be a 1080p projector. Being 1080p natively is not the same as removing approximately 50% of the pixels from the source stream.

Brightness

The Leisure 510 Full HD Projector’s presentation is centred on an improved LED light source. The VANKYO Leisure 510 can produce up to 3,600 lux. And because of that, it has almost twice the luminance other projectors of equivalent quality. Its performance shines out when compared to other home theatre projectors of a comparable calibre.

Aspect ratio

The Leisure 510’s 3000:1 contrast ratio offers you an idea of its cinematic potential and is yet another element that contributes to the device’s primary design for delivering cinematic experiences. Even if this isn’t quite the same as HDR, in the appropriate situations it may still provide for a rather attractive display.

Adjustment

The upper surface contains a recess where you may manually adjust the focus and keystone, as well as a few buttons for exploring the menu options.

Life span

The bulb has a 50,000-hour lifespan, which translates to four hours every day for 34 years, and Vankyo has committed to providing replacements. Over the Leisure 3 and 410 versions, the Vankyo Leisure 510 projector features a number of upgrades. Due to its numerous input ports, it supports a wide range of multimedia devices. Additionally, because it is an LED-based projector, its lamp life can reach 50,000 hours. The lamp would last around 15 years if the machine was utilised for 10 hours every day.

Audio

Two 3W stereo speakers that are built-in provide great music support. Dual speakers provide you the greatest audio without the expense of additional speakers outside of your device. You can have a cinematic experience with a crystal-clear, high-quality sound system.

Virtually every feature of the VANKYO Leisure 510 is designed to make it more useful as a projector for a home theatre. The exception is the in-built audio. A pair of 3W speakers in the Leisure 510 produce a combined 6-watts of audio output. It sounds similar to the sound you would hear from a 40″ television.

Noise

Fan noise ranges from 22 dB to 29 dB, depending on the direction you are facing away from the device.

Vankyo Leisure 510 projector Consumer reviews

This is an impressive product, First it comes in a carrying case for easy portability. The case included the projector, a power cord, an HDMI cord, the remote, and a connector for composite video. Everything one would typically need to project. The projector has ports for every eventuality; HDMI (2), VGA, Composite, USB (picture display), and Mini-SD (picture display). There is also a built-in speaker so the projector can be set up in an office or living room, connect power and video input, and you’re ready to go. I set up my projector in my living room for a movie night. It connected easily to my laptop and my wife and I enjoyed a LARGE screen display of a movie on our living room wall. With the projector set 11′ from the wall the projected image measured 115′ diagonally. The picture was plenty bright and had good color levels. It felt like we were in our own Home Theater. This is a complete package and with the carrying case provided, the projector and cables can be easily stored and transported. Another nice feature is, we had the projector just above our head and behind us while we watched our movie. The cooling fan was nearly silent and what noise it did make wasn’t enough to distract from our show. The projector has the capability to be suspended upside down from the ceiling.

How to Setup a Vankyo Leisure 510 projector with iPhone?

Using the proper adapter cable for your Apple device is the best method to connect it to a projector. Since the majority of iOS devices lack a conventional video port, Apple sells adapters that make it simple to connect to an adaptor. Lightning to VGA Adapter and Lightning Digital AV Adapter are the two choices. The first plugs into the Lightning connector on current iOS devices and connects to regular VGA video cables, while the second attaches an HDMI cable to the device.

You may also find video cable adapters for your iOS device on the Apple website or on Amazon if it has the older 30-pin Dock Connector. If you have a projector, you already know what kind of cable to use for connections and, consequently, what kind of apple adapters to purchase. But if you’re a busy professional who gives presentations at numerous locations using various projector models, it could be advisable to have both adapters so you can use VGA or HDMI cords depending on the circumstance.
