Build
With the addition of metal components, premium plastic is used to construct the outside case. The projector feels solid because to the combination of materials, which also contributes significantly to its heavier-than-normal weight.
Four rubber feet and a tripod mount with a quarter-inch screw are located at the bottom. You can use the attachment to secure this projector to a tripod and experience a movie theater-like setting.
The projector’s body is dotted with many perforations. It supports the 360° Dolby Audio speaker and aids in heat dissipation.
Design
It measures 6.10 inches x 4.9 inches by 6.30 inches and has a large cube form. The Wemax Dice has a carrying strap and is easily transportable. It is only approximately 5 pounds and 6 inches on each side. It weighs 0.1 pounds more than a MacBook Pro 16-inch.
Ports – WEMAX DICE 700 ANSI lumens 1080p FHD
A power button is located on the top, while the back of the device offers a few wired connectivity ports, including an HDMI 2.0 port, USB 2.0 port, and headphone jack. The Wemax Dice has Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi for wireless networking.
You can choose your device from the Dice’s Source menu by connecting a MacBook Pro or an Apple TV to the HDMI connector. The Dice contains a USB-A port in addition to an HDMI port, so you can connect an Amazon Fire Stick or similar device to it to access Netflix.
Display
We surpassed Wemax’s recommended projection range. The project is intended to project an image up to approximately 10.5 feet, but we went almost twice that height. The resolution is 1920 x 1080 and the contrast ratio is 1,000:1 for a screen size ranging from 48 inches to 120 inches if you keep it within around 10 feet of the projector.
Adjustment
The focus camera and projection lens are visible up front. It can concentrate the projection without user assistance because it is a smart projector.
Additionally, this projector has horizontal keystone correction. These capabilities allow you to position this projector on the extreme left or right of a space and yet have a flawlessly aligned projection screen.
Resolution
With a 4-channel LED colour spectrum that has a comparatively wide array of hues, the colour is vivid and realistic.
Brightness – WEMAX DICE 700 ANSI lumens 1080p FHD
The Wemax Dice boasts up to 700 ANSI lumens of brightness from its LED light source. 700 ANSI lumens is sufficient to produce a relatively bright image in a dimly light room when compared to pico projectors. Several image settings are also available, including Standard, Movie, Vivid, Sports, Child, and User. The picture quality and brightness vary slightly depending on the mode to better suit the content you’re watching.
Audio
The Wemax Dice’s built-in speakers may be enough for audio. Dolby surround sound and DTS-HD are included, and it is stereo. However, you can also connect the projector to additional Bluetooth speakers.
Charging & battery life
This projector has had a considerable improvement with its 16,000mAH battery. Wemax claims a battery life of two to three hours, so we may assume it will last through a typical length film.
Lamp life
The lamplife of this projector is up to 30,000 hours. Consequently, you won’t need to purchase costly new bulbs like with some of those other conventional systems. The lamp may last about 16 years if you used the projector for 5 hours a day, every day. Additionally, increasing that number would require operating the projector for less than 5 hours each day, every day.
App
With 16GB of storage space for downloading them, the Android 9.0 TV interface built inside the WeMax Dice provides full access to the more than 5,000 apps in the Google Play store.
It supports Chromecast so that video from a phone or other device can be wirelessly mirrored in addition to streaming directly through the projector. This implies that you won’t need to connect a streaming device or other material source to the projector at all for many customers.
Alternate of WEMAX DICE 700 ANSI lumens 1080p FHD
Almost everything we could want in a portable movie projector is provided by the Xgimi MoGo Pro. A good-looking image with more contrast and detail (and more picture modifications) than you can get from many of its competitors is delivered by this 1920 x 1080 resolution projector.
Additionally, it is portable, simple to set up and use, and has an internal battery that, in our tests, lasted for roughly two hours (it also comes with an 8-foot power cord). The MoGo Pro is essentially a projector and a full-featured streaming media player in one thanks to Android TV, Chromecast, and Google Assistant packed in.
This means that you can watch a lot of movies and other streaming content without having to connect an external video player, but the device does feature HDMI and USB Type-A connectors if you do.
The speaker inside the head has a respectably loud and rich sound. Additionally, the MoGo Pro supports Bluetooth input as well as Bluetooth output (to deliver audio to headphones or an external speaker) (to serve as a Bluetooth speaker).
This projector’s only drawbacks are that it isn’t as bright as some of the others we tested and that it doesn’t yet support the Netflix app (but there are workarounds).
