WiMiUS P28 WiFi LED projector review
Design
It measures 8.66 x 3.94 x 12.2 inches an weighs around 5.5 pounds. After ceiling mounting it, I was able to quickly set the zoom and keystone (recommendation, zoom smaller than your screen first, set the keystone there. Then zoom out to your screen size and finally make any fine tuning adjustments to the keystone).
Connectors
The projector has multiple inputs and connection options including to 1 USB Input, 1 USB Output (5V), 2 HDMI Inputs, 1 Audio Input, 1 Audio Output (headphone), and 2 IR Receiver locations (front and rear)
The P28 has two HDMI ports which is what you’ll use for many of the latest tech gadgets. This includes streaming boxes such as Apple TV, Roku stick, and others. You’ll plug in your modern gaming machines with this like an XBOX, PlayStation, or Nintendo Switch. If you have a Blu-ray player this is also the port for you.
Display
The upgraded P28 projector offers 50-300 inches projection size with 1.5m to 7m projection distance. With its ±50°vertical and horizontal keystone support, the model brings perfect rectangular projections irrespective of where you install it.
Resolution
This WiMiUS P28 projector offers up a native resolution of 1080p Full HD and will give you a sharp crisp picture over a lower 480p model. If you want to see a picture that’s less blurry and has more detail then you’ll definitely want to be searching for a machine with a native 1080p resolution.
Brightness
The projector also comes with impressive 6800 lumens brightness and whopping 10000:1 contrast ratio, bringing a whole new definition to home cinema experience. The projector is 30% more brighter and more vivid than standard projectors. The device features an innovative one-key image brighten function that boosts the brightness by 20% on single touch.
Audio
This WiMiUS model has a dual speaker system that provides 10-watts of power. This would definitely fill the room with fuller sound compared to a single 2-watt speaker system. However, I definitely recommend that you use a sound bar or hook this to your entertainment center for the best movie watching experience.
WiMiUS P28 WiFi LED projector Performance review
It loads quickly and has an easy user interface with good options. Images are crystal clear and high quality. I watched a movie scene with snow falling and it felt like they were in 3D and I could reach out and grab a flake. Digital and physical keystone correction allows in horizontal and vertical plane allows keystone correction from almost any angle you may be faced with. Viewing in the day is easy on the eyes as this projector gets very bright. Documents are certainly readable.
WiMiUS P28 WiFi LED projector customer review
Surprised
After doing some research I decided that the projector I wanted (my first) was the Wimius P28. Got lucky (took a chance) and found an unused/open box P28 for less than half the new price, even with the mfg discount, plus free shipping. The projector arrived three days later in its original box, plastic wrapping, etc. The only problem, missing the instructions. But the P28 was so straightforward and simple to setup and use, I found that instructions were unnecessary. Wow, was I surprised at the crisp clear picture. Even in full daylight the picture was excellent. For my first projector purchase, I couldn’t be happier. I turned right around and purchased a P18 for another room. Can’t wait for it to arrive.

REASONS TO BUY
+Excellent contrast handling+Balanced, nuanced colour palette+Good connectivity options
REASONS TO AVOID
-No 4K motion processing
It’s a shade pricey for an entry-level device but, make no mistake, this is the king of affordable 4K projectors. It’s easy to set up and install, and produces a picture that’s reminiscent of what you’ll get at the cinema.
You’ll get a great image right out of the box without needing to be any kind of expert at tinkering with the settings. All the preset modes are very well judged and it gives an excellent level of black depth and dark detail for a projector at this price. Colours are balanced and motion is naturally smooth.
That said, it’s as much the convenience of this machine that makes it so good. Bluetooth allows for direct connection with a wireless speaker or soundbar, and the high luminance means that it’s usable in moderately lit rooms. In other words, an AVR, speaker package and home cinema room are not entirely necessary. How’s that for a superb family projector?
