AAXA Technologies LED Pico projector KP-101-01 review

Design

4.25 x 2.36 x 0.7 inches; 6.4 Ounces. This projector is also small, and so easy to use! All you need is a flash drive with your image downloaded onto it and you are ready to go! The mini tripod is useable if you clip all the cables together and balance it. I like the threaded tripod attachment on the camera so I can hook it to something more substantial.

Ports

Additional features include adjustable tripod, mini-HDMI support, Micro SD, USB port, composite video input, and 3.5mm headphone jack. The HDMI input allows you to hook a PS4, BluRay, Streaming stick, mirror cast device, or Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch.

Display

You’ll probably only get about 60-70 inches from the wall before this projector really looses brightness. I have mine measuring about 105″ away(The screen becomes a dim 66″ screen) from the wall and it’s okay for film viewing.

Brightness

The brightness is impressive for the size. 25 Lumens – the projector will not work well when there is too much light. For example, if you’re planning to use the projector with the lights turned on, forget about it. If the area you’re planning to utilize the projector is fairly dark then you’ll just have to sit back and enjoy the show.

Resolution

This projector is natively 720p. The image is bright and sharp, and focusses well at (approx) 12 inches. The image adapts in real time as you manipulate it on the ipad, which is essential when trying to fit it onto the cookie.

Rechargeable battery

The LED Pico features a Micro USB port for easy charging, allowing you to charge it anywhere you have your cell phone charger. This ensures that you never run out of battery while on the go.

Sound

Charges from any mobile power bank and has a built in stereo speaker though I personally use a cheap Bluetooth transmitter and speaker to position the sound anywhere near the image is projected. Works with Chromecast (or any HDMI/RGB) device and USB/micro SD to play via it’s on board media player.
