Design
The unit has a very sleek, and clean appearance. This unit measures 12.4 x 10 x 6.7 inches and weighs 32.16 pounds. Its 0.75 horsepower motor provides quiet operation but quickly opens and closes your garage door. This garage door opener features an integrated LED lighting system, using 1,500-lumen bulbs, giving you the edge to edge lighting.
Build
The chain drive is made of high grade reinforced steel, making it durable and long-lasting.
Control
The one-button remote control is easy to use and there is never a lag between pressing the button and your garage door opening or closing. The door control has a large button and an indicator light, making it simple to use. Unlike other garage door openers, this model works with all generations of HomeLink.
Motor
It’s a 3/4 horse motor, usually openers are 1/2 horse. Look it up. I have heavy insulated doors, and I mean heavy metal not aluminium. The motor pulls the door with little/no trouble.
LED lights
The LED light is MUCH BRIGHTER than our old opener and illuminates the entire garage. I also really liked the looks of beamup.
Installation
Assembly and installation was fairly straightforward. Installing all the new pieces by a combination of watching the installation video on Youtbe and the manual that came with the kit proved making this very simple. The hardest part was doing it all in 100+ degree heat so I was a sweaty mess by the time it was done.

Installation was no different than any other belt driven brand, if you know what you are doing. I bought a 8ft extension kit for my 8 ft door. The design of the body and packing looks great, I said wow when I got the box. LED light is slightly brighter than previous opener but not as bright as it could be with so many lights on it, compared to again competitors’ LED versions.
Motion sensor works well, as soon as I step in the garage, it turns on the lights. The slider moving back and forth which door is hung is plastic, not metal; hoping that it will not crack under load. The product is technologically not well designed. They did not build a Wifi in it, and send you another Wifi Controller module (not compatible with 5Ghz) and garage door tilt sensor.
Most Wifi garage door openers have internal controllers hence know whether the door is open or not, this one doesn’t. Also the wall control module has a special connector so you cannot use your existing wiring inside the wall and need to lay the cable again (For that reason, I did not install it, and connected my simple button). Existing safety sensors did not work with this one (which usually works with others), so I had to lay all that cable again and install their sensors. You can attach sensors to concrete floor or to dry wall. Existing common brand remotes and keypad also did not work. So you need to use their remote and keypad from the box, that was also strange.
I called support, left voicemail and got a call back from them in an hour (good), however the guy worked for their manufacturer because he was referring to other brand on the phone. You cannot set up a notification in the app which notifies that you forgot the door open at a defined time (i.e. 9 PM), which is an important lack of feature. I am expecting a call back on that from support. I did not test or will use Alexa.
