Customer reviews in best Snailax Back Massager

This Shiatsu Massage pad can be used for Home Office or Car Seat. I use for my home office. It fits my office chair! It can knead and massage your full back, your upper back or lower back. It has timer of 5, 10, 15 minutes we can choose. And we can add vibration of 3 speeds. It also has heat feature! The most amazing part for me is “Spot”. I can choose which spot for massage. And then I can use up and down arrow to adjust the spot. I used it for my sore lower back after I had 13 hours road trip from vacation. Great Item!

What is the best Snailax Back Massager you can buy?

Snailax Shiatsu Kneading Massager SL 256

Pros

  • Effective design
  • 3 intensity levels
  • Adjustable nodes
  • Heating function is great
  • Detachable intensity control flap
  • Genuine leather is luxuriously soft
  • 3 massage zones or spot treatment
  • Versatile because it can be used on entire back or legs

Cons

  • Has to be plugged in

The Snailax Shiatsu Massage Cushion is our pick for the best back massager overall. This massage chair pad can be used on any chair, sofa, floor, or seat. It’s made from genuine leather and has a buttery soft finish. There is also a detachable and washable flap overlay, which can be removed for a more intense back massage or fastened in place to provide extra cushioning for a gentler massage.

At less than six pounds, the Snailax is lightweight and easy to tote around or store when not in use. It has heating units, allowing you to heat independently, heat with your massage, or not heat at all. The heating units are well dispersed for a truly relaxing experience.

Our favorite aspect is the extent to which this actually massages your back. You can select a full back massage, lower back only, upper back only, or sport coverage for trigger areas. The chair cushion portion also vibrates at two different intensities, helping target hamstrings and hips.

In terms of massage techniques, the Snailax implements a Shiatsu-style deep kneading with rollers and knobs as well as vibration and heat. There are four massage knobs that travel up and down the length of your spine, and you can adjust their depth. You can also select between three intensity levels to further customize your back massage. Finally, for safety, the Snailax Shiatsu Massage Cushion has a 15-minute automatic shut-off timer.

Snailax Gel Shiatsu Neck & Back Massager SL-233

Why we love it: Gel massage nodes that mimic a human hand and the entire back rest heats up (not just the nodes).

This massage chair features 4 unique massage nodes that penetrate sore and tired muscles on the neck, back, and shoulders. However, what makes this one different is that the massage nodes have a gel over them that feels like a human hand.

When we decided to try this out, we were concerned that the gel wouldn’t be able to give a firm massage and that it wouldn’t glide as effortlessly as the harder nodes. Fortunately, that wasn’t a problem. The gel nodes are softer than pure plastic but feel more like a dense gel or rubber. So it’s softer than hard plastic but still pretty firm and doesn’t have any issues gliding over your clothes.

You can also adjust the nodes up and down to fit the height of any family member and it’s built with an optional heat function to enhance blood circulation. Unlike most of the other back massagers, this one has a heating pad that covers the whole back area. Most of the other choices have heat only in the nodes which works great but the whole back heat really adds another level of relief. Overall, if you want a chair style back massager, you can’t go wrong with this one.

What makes it special?

  • Gel covered massage nodes
  • The entire backrest heats up
  • Affordably priced at the time of this writing

Specs

  • Shipping Weight: 15.9 lbs
  • 4 Massage Nodes
  • Washable Cover
  • Soft Gel Technology

Snailax massage mat

Why we love it: It’s like a very large heating pad that vibrates. Excellent for back pain and menstrual cramps.

The Snailax Massage Mat has 10 vibrating motors that provide relaxing and vibrating massages for the whole body to reduce stress and fatigue. This mat comes with 5 massage modes, 4 selective massage zones and 3 intensities to customize your experience. Made with 100% ultra-plush polyester, it’s very comfortable to lie on and you could easily fall asleep on it if you let yourself.

Within the mat are four different heating pads running down the center. These heating pads are excellent if you’re dealing with PMS cramps or back pain. They help to loosen up all of your muscles, improve circulation, and relax your body.

One important thing to note about it is that it’s not a shiatsu or deep tissue massager. Instead, it’s built with vibrating motors. These help loosen things up but it’s not designed for penetrating deep tissues. This is more for relaxing, light massaging, and helping circulation. Lastly, it’s lightweight and foldable so you can easily store it in a closet. If you want something to get the blood flowing, loosen up your muscles, and something that’s relaxing to rest on, this is very comfortable.

Best Snailax Back Massager alternative

Comfier Shiatsu Back Massager with Heat

The Comfier massager comes at a cheaper cost than the other one on our list.

It offers adjustable deep kneading massage while the Comfier Shiatsu Neck & Back Massager boasts 2D and 3D kneading.

This one has 4 rotating nodes and boasts a spot massage option as well.

It offers heat therapy, but unlike its counterpart, this heating mat does not have the air compression feature for the waist and hips.

It does however offer seat vibration with 3 settings to choose from, and the intensity level of the shiatsu massage can be adjusted as well.

The back of the device has an adjustable pad giving you the option of a soft or intense massage, and you can use this chair pad in your home or office.

Buyers expressed that the heat and vibration settings are weak, and some noted that the massager is too rough even on the lowest setting.

Nonetheless, Comfier still has a lot of selling points.

It has heat therapy, vibration mode and adjustable massage settings so if you need something powerful, this might be the best fit.Pros

  • Heat and vibration therapy, spot massage option, adjustable pad for soft or intense massage

Cons

  • Massage mode too powerful for some, heat and vibration therapy modes not strong enough
