GROVIEW WiFi Projector RD850 review

Design

The design is a clean white square plastic device with rounded corners. Projector is a good size, portable and lightweight. The projector is portable, has a nice design, easy to set up and use. Very versatile and compatible with a multitude of other devices to enhance the movie experience!

Ports

It supports many environments—Home Theater, Video Game, Party, Outdoor Activities, Video Conference. The projector is compatible with iPhone, TV Box, TV Stick, PCs, Laptops, Tablets, USB Flash Drive, DVD, PS4, Media players. It comes with HDMI, VGA, AV, USB interfaces.

Display

The screen that comes with this projector is just a cloth screen with grommets that would need to be tied down. The 100inch screen that it comes with is great quality as well. This movie projector provides a watching size from 50” to 240” (The best view screen size is 80”-100″, 7-10 feet distance).

Brightness

This is Native 1280 x 720P projector and can produce +85% brightness than an ordinary projector. I played a full HD video with it and the video quality from the projector is very good. Everything is clear.

Audio

Speaker is louder than I expected. May incorporate a PC 5.1 surround sound system with aux input/output from the headphone jack of the projector once it set up outside.

Setup

Projector set up was super quick and easy. Takes a quick second to play around with settings and focusing the projector lens to your liking.  I was able to mirror my phone screen and also connected Amazon firetv stick 4k to watch Netflix on my first try.

GROVIEW WiFi Projector RD850 customer review

We were sceptical about how good this projector would be and we shouldn’t have been. It’s an absolute bargain for the price we paid. We tried connecting our Andriod phone initially which has to be done via the wireless connection option. It worked well some of the time but other the buffering was so bad. We then tried a IPhone via the USB connection and it work flawless every time. Unfortunately it was a borrowed iPhone and we only have android which is a pain as the USB connection will not work with android.

We have since ordered a USB type c to Hdmi cable to see if we could connect our android this way and it works a treat for only £5 off of Amazon. We have also connected an Xbox one to the projector and again this ethos worked seamlessly.

The picture quality once set up is great. The sound from the projector isn’t bad either however we did connect an external speaker which was a game changer. We found it wasn’t too great in a well lit room or outside when it’s still light. The versatility of this projector is amazing. We would definitely recommend this for someone wanting a good projector that won’t break the bank. I

f you register your free 2 year warranty you also get either a free carey case or £20 amazon gift card which was also a surprising bonus. We can’t want for many more cinema nights to come either in doors or outdoors

APEMAN Mini Projector

When you don’t need anything quite as fancy as our other top products, the mini projector from APEMAN might just be what you’re looking for. Just keep in mind that this projector offers a native resolution of 800x480p, but it is capable of playing back 1080p videos and clips. This is definitely not a good choice if you really value high-quality video playback.

This projector is your run of the mill outdoor projector. It comes with a 2000:1 contrast ratio, which isn’t the greatest but is definitely normal for the price range of this projector. It also boasts 4000 lumens, which is about 80% brighter than a majority of the other projectors on the market. So, you’re getting a decent product for the money you’re shelling out.

You can connect just about any external device to this projector, including HDMI, USB, AV, and Micro SD cards. Just keep in mind that the USB ports apparently don’t work with USB cables, only supporting USB flash drives. You’ll apparently need an additional USB adapter to link up your favorite devices to this projector.

But, this isn’t just a projector for visuals. The projector also includes dual speakers so you can listen to your favorite videos directly from your projector during playback. What’s even better is that the interior fan is relatively quiet. So, you can be sure that your system will stay cool at all times while also not disturbing the playback volume of the projector’s playback.

We also want to point out that the 45,000 hours of bulb life is quite impressive given the high brightness produced by this projector. We should also applaud the 15-degree keystone correction that’ll help you to get the perfectly skewed screen each and every time. And, you’ll be getting a carrying case to make this projector easy to transport and carry around.

Pros:

  • Up to 45,000 hours on bulb life
  • 4,000 lumens (80% brighter than other devices)
  • Very cost-effective
  • Creates a screen up to 180” (up to 15’)

Cons:

  • Won’t support Dolby sound
  • The USB port only works with USB flash drives, not USB cables
