eufy robovac G30 reviews

Design

It’s a sleek little gadget, the Eufy G30. It has a sleek black exterior with dark brown accents. One of the tiniest robot vacuums is the Eufy RoboVac G30, which is 2.85 inches tall and 12.8 inches in diameter. Three physical buttons are included with it: a Recharge button in the center, an Auto Cleaning start/pause button above, and a Spot Cleaning button below. At the top is a Wi-Fi status light. A main power switch is located on the right side.

Brushes, Filter & Dustbin

It has a path-tracking sensor, a drop sensor, a side brush, and a main rolling brush on the bottom. The 600ml dustbin inside contains an E11 high-performance filter.

Suction

There are four different suction settings available for the RoboVac G30: Standard, Turbo, Max, and BoostIQ. The RoboVac G30 Edge’s 2,000Pa suction rating from Eufy is the highest it can go for a robot vacuum. The RoboVac 30C’s 1,500Pa suction is much less than the RoboVac 15C Max’s, which has the same suction power.

This robot vacuum has a clever function called Boost IQ that automatically adjusts the suction power based on the kind of floor and the amount of dust it detects. For instance, when switching from a bare floor to carpet, it will immediately boost suction. Because it may offer a more thorough clean, this feature is useful for people whose homes have diverse types of floors.

Cleaning

The RoboVac starts when you tap the “Clean” button in the app. It moves away from its starting point, finds a spot to clean, and then continues. The suction level may also be adjusted via the app, allowing you to extend the time it operates over a certain area by using less power. You can either schedule a quick timetable or send it back to its station to recharge.

The gadget can also be configured to clean a specific area in a spiral motion using the spot clean option. Using the app’s remote control feature, you must move the cleaning equipment to the desired cleaning location. You can use this, which is tucked away in the app’s Settings, to move the device forward or change direction by rotating it left and right.

Mapping

To avoid obstacles, the Eufy RoboVac G30 uses smart navigation (Smart Dynamic Navigation 2.0), as opposed to other robot vacuums that just bump into them. It offers comprehensive cleaning that can cover the entire floor. Additionally, you can view the cleaning path it traveled on the app so that you are aware of the locations it has already cleaned and its current location.

Battery life

The RoboVac G30, according to Eufy, can operate for up to 100 minutes on a single charge, although BoostIQ shortens that time. It cleaned for 88 minutes in Auto mode during testing with BoostIQ turned on before running out of juice. It then successfully found its charging station on its own. The iRobot Roomba 675 lasted 104 minutes in contrast.

EufyHome app

Excellent EufyHome app. For a vacuum that doesn’t support room-by-room apps, it offers an impressive amount of flexibility, including choices for customizing the suction level and scheduling cleanings.

The Neato Botvac D7 Connected and other more sophisticated competitors both allow you to create virtual no-go zones, but not the Eufy app. You must cover specific places with the included tape in order to prevent the RoboVac from visiting them.
