The instruction manual states that best results are obtained using the machine for at least 30 minutes each day at an intensity level of at least 40 (on a scale of 0-99.) I’d strongly suggest that you don’t pile in at 40 straight away and start at 5 instead, working your way up in units of 5 until you start to feel your ankles and lower legs twitch. I got to 25 before I felt significant movement and ramped it up to 30 after I felt comfortable with it, some 8-10 minutes into my first bout. I have been using it set at 40 since, but have to start it at 25 and work up over 5 minutes.
Charging
It took about 2 hours to fully charge although it may be used off the mains cable and it’ll still charge as it’s in operation. The instruction manual states that the machine will run for 210 minutes on a full charge, equivalent to 30 minutes a day for a week.

I use it both plugged into mains and also in battery mode. If in battery mode I believe it gives less pressure than powered by mains, so I just up the pressure. It is simple to use with two + and – settings – one for the strength and one for the time. You can adjust both either direct on the machine or using the remote control. To change to tens you need to plug in the reusable sticky pads and switch one setting.
You can set a timer to switch the machine off after a preset time. By default, it runs for 30 minutes but can be changed with buttons on the machine or on the remote.
