Design
The projector weighs 6.39 pounds, so make sure you have attached the ceiling mount to a firm structure in the ceiling. The projector adopts Optical Coating Technology and uses the highest quality glass for superior light penetration and no virtual focus.
Ports
Connections include a 3.5mm, four-conductor composite video cable, a 3 conductor audio out jack, a VGA connector on the side of the housing. Two USB connectors and two HDMI connectors are mounted on the back. The power cable is an “IBM PC” style with 3 rectangular pins.
Lens

Brightness
I have my screen at 120 inches and built a stand for around it so all it needed was the right projector. For us, it was this! It supports 4K and HD quality games movies and videos, and It has a really great picture with everything we use. Even in the daytime with the sun shining in the picture is still great. The projector has 7000 lumens brightness and this level of lumens on this device made my movies come to life with crystal clarity and brightness.
Control
Buttons on the top of the projector permit set-up and configuration and have good tactile feedback, but it’s much easier to use the infrared remote. The remote is basic and is not backlit. You’ll need to feed it with AA batteries (not included) before pressing the jolly, candy-like buttons.
Keystone
The Y30 has 50-degree horizontal and vertical keystone correction, which means that sitting of the projector is not critical to get a good image. Keystone corrections can be made by using the remote control and is fairly accurate. You can also use the motorized X_Zoom or Y_Zoom feature to adjust the horizontal or vertical size of the projection.
If the projector is to the left of the projection screen, it should (ideally) be vertically centered with the screen so the keystone controls can create a square/rectangular picture on the screen; and if it’s above or below the screen, the projector should be horizontally centered with the screen.
Lamp life
It has adopted the latest SmarEco technology to minimize lamp power consumption to extend the useful life of the lamp to a maximum of 100000 hours.
Audio
The projector has two 3W speakers which are fine for a meeting room or conference setting, but to get immersive sound, you will need to invest in some speakers.

You just remove the 4 sticky bumpers at the bottom of the feet to reveal where the mount screws go. I had it up in less than 20 minutes with the -Vivo universal adjustable ceiling mount (MOUNT-VPO1W).
Booting up time on this project is about 2-3 seconds, I was able to connect this projector with my android phone using the TypeC to 4k HDMI cable (not Included), and connect my phone to the wireless speakers, it feels like in the movie theater watching a movie. great projector
I was skeptical of how this would perform- I wasn’t expecting TV quality or the same quality as a $1000+ projector…. however, the quality is great. I project directly onto my off white wall and the color quality isn’t really affected. I am able to use this even during the day time or with lights on in my living room. The photo I posted is with lights on in the room- surprisingly, it looks better in real life than in the photo. The fan isn’t too loud but it is noticeable depending on how loud you’re playing your media The sound that comes directly from the projector is reasonably good but I will still probably buy external speakers. Overall, it’s exactly what I was looking for in an entry level projector.
