Design

Its dimension is 12.5 x 4.25 x 10.38 inches and weighs around 4.36 pounds. It has a sturdy and useful case. There are 4 massage heads in the box. Lightweight and portable, the quiet yet powerful brushless motor helps muscle recovery cordless rechargeable massage gun with an extra-long battery life, the cordless design allows for use at home or on the go.

Attachments

The ball is great for the back while the one thing looks like a point is great for feet and pressure points. The little pokey one looks intimidating but it really isn’t. Those are best for the muscles along the spine.

  • Round -perfect for overall use, including small and large muscle group
  • U-shape: Target muscles along along your spine and around your joints
  • Flat : Focus on small areas like your IT band, hamstrings & chest
  • Trigger point: Pinpoint problem areas and pressure point such as hands and feet

Vibrations

Completely customizable with 3 speeds, 3 massage programs and 4 interchangeable heads. This model special is the massage programs. Restore & Revitalize settings are a pre-programmed pattern of faster and slower massaging that I find really nice and less monotonous than a single speed. The special one is the “Pressure Sensor Technology” which responds to the amount of pressure you are putting on the gun, speeding up as you add more pressure and slowing down as you release the pressure.

Intensity

The massager has 3 different intensity levels and 3 different massage programs which is quite awesome compares to the generic branded massage guns. The best one is the pressure sensitive mode, that speeds up according to how much pressure you apply. It’s great for deep massages.

Battery & charging

The battery life is also much better and gives about 8 hours on a single charge.

How to use

It is really easy to turn on and off. Press and hold to power on and off. Press once to change the settings from low, medium, high, and pressure sensitivity mode. It’s really simple and you don’t have to think much about it.

Great relief!

If you ever have a sore back or sore muscles and want something to really work out the tightness, this tool is the thing you’ve been looking for. It has multiple attachments which provide different types of relief for sore muscles, and they all have different intensity levels even when put on the same speed.

They attach very easily to the machine. It comes in a super quality case to store it, and it looks very professional. The actual massager is quite heavy, but very high tech with all the options programmed in. You can choose the speed or choose specific programmed in variants. My favorite is one that starts super slow but the harder you press it against the body, the faster it works.

This is especially nice because you can control the speed very specifically instead of a generic slow, medium, or hard. This massager feels great on arms and leg muscles but my favorite is lower back and upper back/neck area. It would be difficult to target those back muscles on your own, but super easy if you have someone to help. Honestly this is such an amazing and quality massager that I am blown away!

HoMedics Therapist Select Pro Percussion Massager alternative

Hyperice Hypervolt 2 Pro

Specs
  • PPM: 1700-2700
  • Noise level: 55-65 decibels
  • Battery life: 3 hours
  • Weight: 2.6 pounds
Pros
  • Long battery life
  • Solid and sturdy construction
  • Cushion attachment allows for massage in especially tight or bony areas
Cons
  • No carrying case
  • Heavy and awkward to hold
  • App can be confusing

The Theragun Pro doubles the Hypervolt 2 Pro’s run time with a six-hour life, but you’ll pay $200 more for that extra three hours. Charging the Pro once got me through an entire week’s worth of testing, with plenty of battery left to spare.

The basic yet solid construction of the Hyperice Hypervolt 2 Pro makes it a good choice for nearly anyone looking to invest in a high-end massage gun. However, a few key factors gear the Pro towards a more experienced user.

The Hyperice Hypervolt 2 Pro is a well-made massage gun, especially suited for athletes and advanced users.

The Hypervolt 2 Pro has an exceptional battery life —  at three hours, it outlasts the Theragun Elite and the Theragun Mini by 60 and 30 minutes respectively.

The Hyperice App is capable of leading accomplished athletes through comprehensive programing for a competitive edge. A variety of textured attachments combined with a speedy 2700 PPM effectively releases the tightest trigger points and muscle groups.

The downsides here are that the gun is slightly awkward to hold, and doesn’t come with a carry case, which could be an issue if you plan on traveling with the gun. Since it’s pretty sturdy, you could most likely get away with cushioning it between some thick sweatshirts and tossing it in your bag. But on the other hand, if I’m going to pay a few hundred bucks for a massage gun, I’d like to know that it could be protected appropriately during transport.
