Design
The design is fantastic. The Kenmore AllergenSeal DU2012 upright vacuum cleaner includes an upholstery tool, dusting brush and crevice tool. It weighs 15 pounds and provides useful features such as a brush on/off switch and suction control. A nice mixture of green and silver. A simple, concise design that highlights all of the important buttons and features. A compilation of aesthetically pleasing shapes.
Handle
The top handle is very convenient for maneuvering the cleaner around furniture, etc. On the top of the cylindrical dust receptacle (which the manufacturer has chosen to call a “dust cup”) is a carrying handle. Lifting the cleaner by this handle places its full weight on the plastic latch that holds the dust cup in place.
Strong suction with 2-motor
This upright vacuum relies on two motors. Both of these motors work together to generate a strong suction power. This vacuum cleaner has tremendous suction power, so strong it visibly pulls in particles from several inches in front of the nozzle. It lifted substantial amounts of dust and debris from some of our carpets that had just been vacuumed with a more conventional cleaner.
AllergenSeal System
It comes with a fantastic HEPA-AllergenSeal System. The system traps around 99.7% of the dust and dander that flows into the vacuum. By doing so, your space is filled with considerably less allergens and pollutants. All of this is fantastic if you suffer from allergies, or simply want to clear up the air in your space.
Brushroll and headlights
The on-off switch has three positions: (1) off, (2) vacuum on without activating the brushroll, and (3) vacuum on with brushroll activated. A headlight illuminates the area about to be vacuumed, but only when the brushroll is activated. A brushroll status indicator provides a warning when the brushroll needs attention. There is a control to reduce the suction when cleaning curtains or other delicate items.
HEPA Filtration
Its HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air Absorbing) filtration system is claimed to remove at least 99.97% of particles whose diameter is 0.3 microns or more–e.g., pollen, dirt, dust, etc., as well as bacteria and viruses. (Human hair is comparatively fat, with diameters ranging from 50-150 microns.)

This vacuum actually makes it fun to vacuum. It comes with several tools for dusting, doing drapes, furniture and others, and is great for anyone who has allergies or lots of pet hair around. Assembly is very easy and took about ten or fifteen minutes. This one is self-propelled and I love that it swivels. It’s swivels very well, it pulls itself forward- almost like being pulled by a dog.
The suction power of this machine is awesome! I took 3 full containers of dirt and heavy pet hair on my first pass with only stopping to empty and clean the filters which was extremely easy to do. Its noise level is relatively quiet and the quality of its construction was great. Its lightweight and maneuvers effortlessly.

Good suction but too heavy on wrist.
Just opened the box and started using it. So far found suction power to be adequate but during vacuuming on carpeted stairs I found few flaws annoying me. Firstly this vacuum is too heavy on wrists for working on stairs and secondly the suction pipe came out from the vacuum head during vacuuming the stairs. I mean why would they have this design which have no use whatsoever to unplug the pipe from the vacuum head. I’m gonna use it couple of times to see if it happens again and then I’ll decide if I want to keep it because I don’t want to go through it again and again during vacuuming if it keep coming out. I wonder if someone else had the same issue.
