Miko Shiatsu foot massager machine with deep-kneading reviews

Build

The unit is quality made and works well. The massager features two cloth-covered foot chambers which apply soothing shiatsu massage to the bottom and sides of feet.

Design

The Miko massager is quite modern in design. At 12 pounds, it’s pretty portable too. It measures at 17.72 x 17.4 x 9.76 inches.

Foot size

It fits feet of all shoe sizes up to a men’s 13, making it suitable for nearly every person.

Foot chamber

The cloth covering on the foot chambers is removable and washable. The lining of the foot compartments is attached with a zipper. To gauge the ease of use, we detached and reattached both liners several times, and it was quite simple to do.

Air compression

The Shiatsu rollers and air compression combine to deliver a total-foot massage that effectively covers and treats pain, soreness, and discomfort without missing an inch. The massage nodes on the Miko Shiatsu Foot Massager are each designed to deliver a soothing, medium-pressure massage to each section of your foot.

5 Intensity levels

This gives you twice as much control over the way your massage feels compared to other massagers. There are 5 level settings for massage. Each level more aggressive with deep massaging therapy. If you are a person that does not like pressure and deep massaging of your feet, and you enjoy a “human” Pedicurist gently stroking your lower legs with occasional foot “petting”.

Heat

It has heat or no heat setting. The heat is nice, but because my body always running hot, I choose not to use the heat setting. It also has a light that blinks off and on when plugged in – this way at night you can see where it is sitting on the floor if the lights are not turned on

Control

It can be operated using the buttons on the center control panel or with a remote. Most often, we chose to sit back and relax using the wireless remote rather than bending over to press the buttons on the unit.

The user can choose between deep kneading or something softer with five levels of pressure. We found it was easy to adjust our desired level with the + and – buttons displayed right on top of the massager. Additionally, a built-in heating feature keeps feet warm during the massage, but if you start to run hot, you can turn the setting off.

Pressure point

The Miko Shiatsu Foot Massager is designed to target each area of your feet with the exact type of stimulation and massage that it needs. Shiatsu is used on the bottoms of the feet, with three different massage nodes/rollers that target the heels, arches, and balls of the feet individually.

Remote

Miko Shiatsu foot massager machine comes with 2 remotes and the remote worked well toggling the unit through several different programed foot massages. In order to open it, you have to push down on a tiny tab and simultaneously slide out the battery tray. We tried to do so multiple times before finally getting the hang of it. Both remotes come with batteries already installed, and it’s not likely that you would have to change them very often.

Miko Shiatsu foot massager machine with deep-kneading Performance reviews

After using the massager for about 15 minutes, the tightness and pain in our feet was reduced considerably. The foot compartment expands and contracts around your toes, creating a squeezing sensation that mimics the technique an actual massage therapist would use.

At certain points, it almost felt like we were getting a professional massage. In terms of comfort level, we preferred to keep the machine at a 2 or 3, which applied a firm but relaxing amount of pressure. While it may be suitable for others, we found the pressure at level 4 and 5 too intense.

Miko Shiatsu foot massager machine with deep-kneading customer reviews

Happy OverallOverall, I really like this Miko Foot Massager. Easy to use with nice features. The ability to turn on/off heat and adjust foot pressure, as needed, works well including control via remote. Adjustable foot pressure and range of pressure settings are good, as sometimes you only feel like a little pressure and sometimes more. Too much pressure can be uncomfortable if your joints are sensitive. Note that my wife tried using massager, but was concerned about it aggravating arthritis in her big toe, so she decided not to use it. Also in my case, I have size 13 US sized feet; the massager is just barely long enough to get my whole foot inside it, so the bottom heal part of my foot only gets moderate massaging. So as things tend to go, really may come down to your foot geometry and conditions on whether this product is good for you or not. I would give massager a 4.5 rating.

Nekteck Shiatsu Foot Massager Machine

Nekteck Shiatsu Foot Massager Machine

Pros

  • Full coverage for feet
  • Adjustable intensity
  • Detachable foot covers for washability

Cons

  • One massaging movement
  • Footholds may be too small for some users

Like a heating pod for your feet, the Nekteck Shiatsu Foot Massager delivers soothing reflexology and toasty-warm heat for your soles, heels, and toes. Basically, you slide your feet into the device as if it’s a giant slipper, adjust the heat and massage settings, and let the pod get to work.

You can choose from three functions with this device: air compression for increasing circulation and reducing stiffness, heat for soothing overworked feet, and kneading massage for releasing muscle tension. The foot covers can be removed and machine-washed and the power screen makes it easy to tell which mode you’re selecting.

The massaging and compression modes are adjustable for intensity, but there is only one heat setting designed to be gentle and slow to warm for maximum comfort. Still, we like that the pod design of this device has the potential to heat the tops, bottoms, and sides of your feet rather than just the bottoms, like with many other heated devices.
