Build

This portable charging station is made to last with durability and reliability. It is lightening-proof and has leakage, overvoltage, overheat and overcurrent protection, so you can safely charge your vehicle.

Display

The LCD display with power usage is a nice touch to calculate the cost of each session. The display is small, but feature filled. It tells you all you need to know about how much current the unit is passing, and also has the most useful display of all – temperature!

J1772 connector

It comes with two adapting plugs as standard. The NEMA 14-50 adapting plug can be used to quickly charge your vehicle at a 32Amp outlet. You can also connect this portable charger to a domestic NEMA 5-15 outlet in an emergency. The optional adapting plugs for NEMA 6-20, NEMA 10-30, NEMA 14-40, NEMA 6-50 and NEMA 10-50 outlets give you unlimited use of any socket.

Auto-detect

Simply connect the proper adapting plug and start charging. The TRAVELMASTER portable electric vehicle charging station automatically detects which adapting plug is plugged in and starts charging at the maximum charging power. No need to calculate how many kilowatt hours you can charge, so you can charge safely while saving valuable time.

Charge speed

I have been using this for about 2 weeks now to charge my Hyundai Kona electric and it’s done a stellar job. generally it indicates about 7.4 kWh being drawn which equates to almost 30 miles of range per hour of charge. Even with the Kona’s 291 mile range at 100% charge, my charging time is generally around 4 hour

Compatible

Works with most electric vehicles, the EVSE is compatible with all plug-in EVs, which include Nissan LEAF, BMW i series, Chevy Volt, Chevy Bolt, Fiat 500e, Ford C-Max Energi, Ford Focus Electric, Ford Fusion Energi etc.

Mustart Travelmaster Level 2 portable EV charger customer review

My new Prius Prime came with standard 120v charger, resulting in over 5 hours charge time. Researched various options and selected Mustart updated 32 amp unit. Really impressed by the solid build quality. Had an electrician extend my outlet from back to front of garage for easy access. Also added a switch so can turn off power to unit when not using.
