Poyank mini projector review

Design

The projector itself is small, lightweight, and has great picture quality It measures 10.5 x 9.2 x 4.7 inches and weighs around 3.5lbs. It is housed in almost a rectangular shaped box.

Ports

Among the inputs, you’ll find a VGA connection, HDMI connection, SD port, headphone and AV cable ports, and a USB port to help round things out.

Screen size

Of course, once you start stretching the screen out to larger sizes, the pixel-density of the image will start to shrink lower than 480p. By the time you’ve stretched out to the maximum 176” size, you’re left with a pale shade of the initially strong performance. The smaller 32” screen size actually looks fantastic, and performance remains pretty steady out towards the 100” mark.

Brightness

Poyank produces 6000Lumens brightness. Gameplay and resolution are good. There is no distortion nor lag in the visuals. Configuration settings allow you to set brightness, contrast, intensity and color to your personal preferences.

Resolution

Picture was very clear and bright. It improved 20%+ of the brightness. The aspect ratio is 16:9/4:3, with 2000:1 contrast ratio. It has has upgraded the native resolution to Max 1920*1080P Supported which supports the highest resolution of 1920*1080.

Control

The focus mechanism is smooth and firm with no wobble. There is minimal edge distortion and only apparent when projecting at an angle.

Lamp life

POYANK LCD Projector has five layer LCD Display which allows the projector lamp life max support to 60,000 hours. The LED light source can perfectly protect you and your family’s eyes. It’s definitely the best choice for your home theater entertainment.

Poyank projector Bluetooth speaker

The sound is adequate, but connecting any good mini-speaker will dramatically improve the sound.  I was able to hook up my portable Bose Bluetooth speaker using an mini audio jack to connectmy speaker to the projector’s headphone jack.

Setup

Setup is extremely easy and it comes with all the cords you need, aside from a usb. the remote is simple and easy to use and the menu is very user friendly.

Alternate Poyank mini projector

Jinhoo WiFi Projector

The Jinhoo WiFi Projector is quite similar to the TP-01. It even uses the same side-positioning for the AV ports. And those ports are an identical laying, including USB, VGA, HDMI, SD card, and two spaces for audio.

Onboard you’ll find a pair of 2W audio speakers. Since there are two speakers, the result as at least stereo sound. But if you’re looking for something more than the bare minimum with your audio experience, then you’ll definitely want to pair this projector up with some kind of aftermarket speaker or soundbar.

The native resolution is 840×480, matching the 480p presentation of the TP-01. You can also play 720p or 1080p content, but it will of course be downscaled to the supported 480p screen. The Jinhoo WiFi projector has a peak brightness of 2400 lumens. If you’ve been keeping track, then you’ll know that’s a few hundred points lower than the TP-01. The brightness is even clearer witnessed in the 2000:1 contrast ratio. You can move between 32” and 176” screen sizes, which matches nicely with the capabilities of the TP-01.
