It also has a unique three-legged stand. The all-black plastic body has a few gamer-oriented designs on the back panel, but it doesn’t stand out too much if you want to use it in an office environment either.
Design
The device has a matte black finish. The display is bezel-free on three sides, but you will still see inner borders when it’s in place.
Connectors
The panel at the back includes a slot each for DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0, and VGA, plus a 3.5mm jack for headphones. It doesn’t carry valuable extras like USB slots, but that’s okay since your PC will surely have some anyway.

Viewing angle
The Samsung Odyssey G3 has okay horizontal viewing angles. It’s better than most VA panel monitors because there isn’t too much color washout or shift at wide angles, but the image becomes noticeably darker when viewing from the side. It’s not very ideal for sharing your screen with others.
Ergonomics features
The stand included with the Samsung Odyssey G3 offers tilt, pivot, swivel, and height adjustments by default. The design of the monitor is excellent with ultra-thin bezels and an ergonomic stand capable of up to 130mm height adjustment, +/- 30° swivel, -5°/20° tilt, and 90° pivot.
It’s easy to get a viewing angle that suits your setup and posture, so using aftermarket mounts won’t be necessary. However, VESA mounts can still be used, although you’ll only need them if you have multiple displays or if space is very limited.

The 27 inch Samsung G3 has enough screen space for multitasking, but the 1080p resolution results in low pixel density. The smaller 24 inch model would have a higher pixel density, but we didn’t test it.
Brightness
The peak brightness amounts to 250-nits, which is fine under normal lighting conditions, but if you’re using the screen in a really bright room without any blinders or curtains, it might be too dim to mitigate glare even at its maximum brightness setting. Depending on the unit though, the F24G35T is capable of reaching even a bit beyond 300-nits.
Next, the Samsung F24G35T monitor supports 8-bit color depth without dithering and covers ~99% of the sRGB color space.
Contrast ratio
This new generation of flat-screen VA panels also brings improved contrast ratio of ~4,000:1. Even though Samsung specifies a maximum contrast ratio of 3,000:1 for the F24G35T, it goes beyond 4,000:1. Other monitor manufactures using the same panel actually specify a 3,500:1 or 4,000:1 contrast ratio for their models.

The Samsung Odyssey G3 has a mediocre response time. The total response time is very slow, resulting in motion blur and smearing. Although VA panels can have noticeable smearing, this one is worse than other monitors like the Samsung Odyssey G5 LC27G55T.

You can improve motion clarity a bit by enabling the MPRT option in the OSD (On-Screen Display) menu.
MPRT is a Motion Blur Reduction technology that uses backlight strobing to reduce perceived motion blur at a fixed refresh rate of 85Hz or higher.
Input lag performance, on the other hand, is very good at ~4ms of delay, which is not perceptible.
However, it introduces flickering (though invisible to the human eye), reduces picture brightness, and can’t be active at the same time as variable refresh rate.
Performance
The Samsung Odyssey G3 LF24G35T renders 99% sRGB gamut which is on par with most monitors in the same price category. It’s decently vibrant for games, and its default accuracy only has a dE average of 2.77. It’s not dead-accurate like prosumer displays, but most users won’t notice the differences or errors unless they have a better monitor beside it for comparison.
