Build
The Shark Matrix Robot seems more durable than this hoover, but the Shark Matrix Robot has a more upscale, albeit unremarkable, appearance due to its matte-finish hard plastic shell. The’self-cleaning’ brushroll design is employed.
Design
When tested against comparable auto-empty docking stations, it measures 14 inches high and 19 inches deep, so it’s not too huge.
Filter
In spite of not having an internal HEPA filter, the Shark AI Ultra performs well in terms of air filtering. Even better, the manufacturer claims that the base station’s allergen-trapping post-motor filter can capture 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns.
Brushroll
The Shark AI has a self-cleaning brush roll on the bottom in addition to two side brushes. The brush roll’s fins and bristles work together to comb through both human and pet hair, collecting it in the trash to prevent it from getting tangled, a typical issue with other robot vacuums.

Three power levels are available to the Shark AI: Eco, Normal (the default setting), and Max. Cleaning
Not to mention, the Shark’s container wiggles while scrubbing the floor and dispenses precisely the right amount of cleaning solution. Much of the debris was visible on the microfiber cleaning pad, which was simple to slip on and off the bin.
Mopping
One of my main complaints with robot mop heads is the cleaning pad. Using a reusable cleaning pad is undoubtedly more environmentally friendly than using many wipes for every Swiffering. I freely love my dog again now that David Wallace is on the scene! DW is the name of my fabulous new Shark robot vacuum. Getting the app and the vac to sync due to my backwater Internet was the hardest thing about setup, and even that didn’t take too long. Since then, I open the app at work and send David Wallace on cleaning missions. I make sure the dog toys are put away on my way through the house when i leave for the day, so I run him through the living room first thing. I could never keep up with the dog hair problem until now! I love this. Matrix clean even allows me and my OCD to witness the cleaning, though i prefer not to. I’m so glad I opened that Best Buy email advertising a sale (on another brand’s vac). I used the compare feature and am so very happy with this purchase. With such clean floors, I’m probably going to be doing a lot more yoga. Or eat the odd M&M that may fall to the floor. It’s about the choices we make every day.

Apart from that, the Roomba j7 performed a decent job of collecting dirt and trash in my apartment and didn’t create too much noise in the process. The suction levels of all the robo-vacs I tested at this mid-range level were quite similar, so there wasn’t much of a difference in terms of cleaning power.
Similar to other robot vacuums, the iRobot mobile app allows you to plan cleanings so you never have to start a task at random. Additionally, the app features a “favourites” section where you may make regular profiles like “clean the living room and the entryway.” Additionally, the robot is compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa if you prefer to use voice instructions.
The Roomba j7 features Imprint Smart Mapping, but it required multiple runs across my house to generate a comprehensive map, in contrast to the Shark. Remember that the next time you decide to use your self-emptying robot hoover at night while everyone else is asleep.
