Design
This portable PC has the dimension of 5.3 x 4.7 x 1.8 inches. It weighs just 2 pounds to give you complete carrying comfort. Being a powerful & modern device, the U500-H mini PC has got a sleek chassis and ultra-compact design to blow your mind.
Ports & Connectivity
The tiny device is engraved with an assortment of I/O ports and connectivity slots.
The connectivity options are two RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet slots and two slots for LAN network. The PCs ability to get connected to three monitors at a time is the striking feature.
These varied ports include three USB 3.0 ports, a USB-C port, an HDMI output, one Mini DP port, one DC port, one MIC and a TF Card Reader. Two Gigabit Ethernet slots are available to improve speed of network and increase the PC function.
You can work on three separate displays, connecting them via HDMI, Mini DP & USB-C – these triple outputs.
VGA
If you have a monitor with VGA port like me, then you will need a VGA to HDMI adapter since a HDMI-HDMI port is provided with mini PC. Since VGA does not transfer audio, HDMI does. If you use VGA-HDMI adapter and a headphone jack on mini PC at the same time, you won’t hear sound until you change the setup of the sound or volume control options. Overall, it is pretty good mini PC. Once you know how to set up, you will definitely enjoy it.
4K streaming
If you are looking to buy this little PC to use as a streaming device, it works perfect for that. The graphics card is able to support up to 4K resolution with 60Hz refresh. I currently have my monitor hooked up using the HDMI connection, though it has mini DP and USB C as well if you want to take advantage of the higher 60Hz refresh rate for videos. It is able to stream seamlessly over our 5G wireless connection.
It works really well out of the box for streaming movies and watching the news on my 65 inch. The picture is nice and clear which is what I wanted for. The construction is really nice and it’s pretty compact for what you get.
Intel Core i3 Processor
Hyper-Threading is supported, and the operating frequency is 2 GHz . The processor also has Intel HD Graphics 5500 graphics and a dual-channel DDR3L-1600 memory controller. The Intel Core i3-5005U (3MB Cache) is a fast dual-core low-voltage processor based on the Broadwell architecture. It is produced on a 14-nm process technology using FinFET transistors.
Storage
I have connected by USB an 8TB HDD with multimedia and also in the expandable bay I installed a 500GB SSD which is the perfect companion for the solid 128GB that already brings from factory. In the future I plan to improve it with another 8GB RAM in the bay that has free to reach 16GB of RAM. If you want a functional and fast PC, this is the best option possible.

It has all the other necessary ports that I need as well. My monitor doesn’t have integrated sound, so I use Bluetooth speakers, which this PC handles easily. It also has a side auxiliary port for sound if you prefer and aren’t running sound through your display connection. I like that the USB ports are on the front for easy access. It has 3, which is good for most purposes. I only use 2 so far, one for my wireless keyboard and mouse combo and the other to power my speaker.
U500-H mini PC Intel core i3-5005U mini computer Performance review
Overall I have been happy with the performance of this computer. I have a setup script that installs a bunch of software and I ran a handful of benchmark tests. The graphics were more impressive than I was expecting. I was able to run some basic 3D games that ended up being quite smooth. The performance on this while multitasking is quite impressive as well. While I would not recommend this as a gaming PC by any means, this could easily be a desktop replacement for most PCs that are used as browsing or media PCs.
