It’s well built and sturdy. AirGJOB is a portable air purification system that uses negative pressure to remove moisture from the air. It works by drawing dry air through a filter, which is then directed into a chamber where it is humidified. Then the moist air is released into the room. The cable storage on the back is fantastic

The settings are easy to use. It weighs around 40 pounds, but it comes with the wheels already attached. There are also two side bag handles for turning or lifting. Motor and compressor work very well.

AIRGJOB dehumidifier alternative

Frigidaire FFAP5033W1

Pros

  • Solid performance in real-world tests
  • Actively pumps water from tank
  • Sleek look with user-friendly design elements

Cons

  • Pump installation might be tricky

Specs

  • Humidity sensor: Yes
  • Frost sensor: Yes
  • Capacity: 50 pints
  • Drainage: Pump
  • Energy Star certified: Yes
  • Auto restart: Yes
  • Speeds: 3
  • Warranty: 1 year

It’s one of the few units on our list with an active pump, meaning you can direct water into a sink or out a window if you don’t have a floor drain and don’t want to have to fiddle with removing and emptying the bucket.

The Frigidaire FFAP5033W1 is the best dehumidifier overall based on reviews of its almost identical predecessor, the Frigidaire FFAP7033T1. What sets the Frigidaire FFAP5033W1 apart from the other devices we considered is its design. It’s slim and has an attractive
digital display that makes it easy to see indicator lights and settings. One of the few areas where the previous Frigidaire FFAP7033T1 model fell short was the initial pump configuration.

Unplugging the pump connector was tricky and in some cases the connector simply snapped off. There are hooks to wrap the power cord when the machine is next to an outlet or when you want to store it, and the filter is easily accessible for removal and cleaning.

While the unit features wheels for easy portability, it also has a sturdy top handle for getting down stairs. This error is not unique to Frigidaire, but you have to be prepared for it when you buy this model to have a pump comfortably. We’ll see if the FFAP5033W1 suffers from the same problem.

Changing from FFAP7033T1 to FFAP5033W1, Frigidaire increased the tank capacity from 13.1 pints to 16.9 pints. If you live in a very humid room and run the machine continuously, this is a significant improvement as the amount of water will fill up fairly quickly and the machine will turn off until you empty the bucket.
