Much larger nodes—8.7 inches high, 7.2 inches wide, and 3.5 inches deep—are used in the Max 7. The white nodes have a status LED and the eero logo on the front. Our tests of the Max 7’s throughput performance yielded good results. With a close-proximity test result of 2,149Mbps, the router node outperformed the TP-Link Deco BE85 router (2,085Mbps) but fell short of the Netgear Orbi 970 Series (2,209Mbps). When the MacBook Pro was six feet away from the Office node, it recorded a maximum speed of 735 Mbps. The garage recorded a good 526 Mbps, while the living room recorded 510 Mbps. The TP-Link Deco XE75 mesh router system is affordable and comes in two or three packs. It can be used to set up a Wi-Fi 6E network that can offer a strong signal throughout the entire house. With three Ethernet connections for hardwiring devices or using as a wired access point, each of the two (or three) nodes can function as a router or a satellite.

With a throughput of 1.220 Gbps at 15 feet, the Deco XE75 demonstrated exceptional data flow through barriers, up close, and at intermediate distances during our testing.
