Build

The BISSELL Pet Hair Eraser Turbo Plus has an only acceptable build quality. It’s made from mostly hard plastic, except for its metal wand, but it could feel more sturdy, especially compared to some other BISSELL vacuums like the BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro.

Design

Its dimension is 13 x 15.75 x 44.5 inches. Unit weighs 14.5 pounds (~6.57 kg) and it is not the lightest upright on the market. But, thanks to the swivel design, large wheels and the fact that most of the weight is low on the ground, unit is very maneuverable and easy to use.

Headlight

Main cleaner head is 12 inches (30.5 cm) wide, allowing the user to clean large area quickly. The head of the vacuum has a headlight while the crevice tool has a LED light near the brush so you can illuminate hard-to-reach, possibly dark areas.

Filter

Using the Smart Seal Allergen System with optional Febreze filter, the Pet Hair Eraser traps dust and allergens while eliminating odors to freshen your home as you clean. It works by trapping fine dust and allergens inside the vacuum so you can breathe easy. With the Febreze Pet Odor Eliminator Filter, Bissell vacuums excel in eliminating pet odors.

• Pre-motor filters are found under the top cover of the of the dirt compartment. They can be washed with a light detergent when needed, but they need to dry for 24 hours before reuse.

• Post-motor (HEPA) filter can’t be washed. You have access to it once you remove the dirt compartment, and you just need to twist it to take it out. If dust/debris accumulates on it, gently tap the filter against a trash container to remove it.

Brush

The brushroll can be removed but you need a Philips screwdriver to remove the 10 screws that hold in the base cover. After that, you can remove the brushroll belt that holds it in place, and you can pull or cut out debris or hair tangled around the brush.

Dirt compartment

The large 750ml capacity dirt cup will also keep you cleaning for longer without the need to empty the cup.

Dirt bin can hold slightly more, but air flow and thus cleaning performances and air filtration are compromised.

Dirt bin is transparent, allowing the user to see amount and type of picked up dirt. Thanks to the bottom emptying system, dirt bin can be emptied quickly and easily, without touching the dirt or making a mess.

Noise

The cleaner is quiet, it only produces 74 dB which makes it a winner among upright vacuums. It has a power that is below average which is surprising since it does such a good job on carpet. It has 68 CFM at a host and 48 CFM at the head.

Maneuverability & Pick Up Ability

The vacuum is pretty good with maneuverability. The tube is very convenient to use, especially if you need to remove large particles.  

The vacuum picks up the debris nicely on both hard floor and carpet as long as they are under a certain size. Because of a lack of adjustable hight, the head is not able to pick up large particles like cereals, etc and thanks to that the vacuum is so good at deep cleaning and picking up pet hair. Still, for large particles, you can use the tube.

The BISSELL Pet Hair Eraser Turbo Plus has a couple of extra features. You can turn the brushroll on and off, and you can also control the vacuum’s suction by using the slider to tackle either “Low Carpet”, which is for low-pile carpet, or “Plush Carpet”, which is for high-pile carpet.

The BISSELL Pet Hair Eraser Turbo Plus is great on low-pile carpet. It slightly struggles to pick up small debris like baking soda and there’s even some residue left behind within the connector between the wand and hose. 

It is is okay on bare floors. It’s easily able to pick up small debris like rice but it has a bit more of a problem picking up larger debris like cereal as it gets caught in the vacuum’s front cover as well as near the end of the tunnel. If you’re looking for an upright vacuum that does a better job on bare floors.

Excellent Bagless Vaccum with Turbo Plus!!!

BISSELL – Pet Hair Eraser Turbo Bagless Upright Vacuum was very easy to assemble. It came with nicely packaged and various add-on tools Dusting brush, wand, motorized brush and LED lighted crevice tool.

We have tried many of the vacuum brands and there were certain things we didn’t like about it. We bought this vacuum and used it for more than 2 weeks now. It outperforms other vacuums by far. With the other vacuums the brushes were always getting filed with hair from our dog and my wife / daughter’s long hair, and we always had to reach inside the canister to pull out debris. In Pet Hair Eraser, nothing on the brush and the canister empties out perfectly. It makes our carpet look beautiful when we are done. It is easy to maneuver and suck out all debris really well. We can’t say enough good about this vacuum.

I have tried in carpet, hard floors and it works really great. This vacuum comes with bagless technology and no bags to buy or replace. Creative tool and dusting brush are really good add-ons which allow you to clean tight spaces, stairs and flat surfaces. It has 0.2-gallon dust cup and holds lot of dirt, so you can empty it less. It has motorized brush for tough tasks and lifts stubborn pet hair and ground-in dirt from surfaces while powerful suction carries it away.

It has strong suction power from start to finish and Cyclonic technology separates dirt from the air, preventing it from clogging filters and ensuring consistently strong suction power. The 30″ cord enables you to clean a large area before needing to change outlets. The Wand for cleaning above the floor extends to clean ceiling fans and other hard-to-reach places. With a 120V motor, you can achieve reliable suction and helps you keep your home clean.

Like the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser upright, it has a mini turbo brush (here called a Pet Powermate) that makes quick work of cat hair on cat trees, microfiber upholstery and pet beds. Unlike the Bissell, Kenmore’s version is motorized, so you can change the suction level without changing the brush speed, which really helps get pet hair off of upholstery without inhaling the fabric.

For folks with pets, carpets and dust or dander sensitivities, a canister vacuum can offer even more powerful suction, deeper carpet cleaning and better air filtration than an upright. The Kenmore BC4026 Pet-Friendly Pop-N-Go isn’t particularly maneuverable, even by canister vacuum standards, but its electric floor sweeper brush pulls an unbelievable amount of dust and pet hair from the thickest of carpets.

Both the dust bag and exhaust filter of the BC4026 are HEPA-compliant, and offer much better air filtration and dust containment than a bagless vacuum, as well as three times the dust capacity of the Dyson V11 Animal stick vacuum or Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Lift-Off Upright. But that’s at the cost of portability and maneuverability; at 22 pounds, the Kenmore is 4 pounds more than the Bissell upright, and neither its floor head nor canister are as nimble. But for sheer power, you can’t beat a canister vac, and the Kenmore is far more affordable than the much more maneuverable Miele Complete C3 Kona.
