Oreck XL Classic Upright
The Oreck XL Classic upright is arguably their most recognized machine. It is extremely lightweight (around 9 lbs.) but comes with tremendous suction that can handle high piled carpets. The brushroll spins at a very high rate of speed, to help the air pull up deeply embedded dust mites so they can become trapped inside the collection bag. It’s an excellent choice for large carpeted areas.
Oreck Elevate Conquer Upright
The Elevate Conquer is a full sized machine with a uniquely designed SlimSwivel™ neck. This allows you to steer it around all of the items in your home with much less effort than when using a typical upright. And since it only weighs around 10 pounds you will hardly tire during use, even when carrying it up flights of stairs.
Oreck POD Cordless
The Oreck POD is a lightweight cordless vacuum with a long lasting lithium ion battery and many other features that help it stack up to the competition. Belt
Unlike the U2000RB-1 model, the U2000R-1 has a belt that may need to be replaced. The U2000RB-1 has an Endurolife belt and advanced circuitry that prevents the motor from tearing up the belt when unexpected jams occur (something gets wrapped around the brushroll and causes the motor to break the belt).
Filter
The Conquer is the only model in the Elevate lineup that comes with a fully sealed HEPA filter system. The 5 different layers of filtration work together to not let any small organisms pass back into your home. Performance review
Carpet
For cleaning carpet, you’re looking for a powered brushroll with height adjustment for different carpet thickness. If you’re using this upright vacuum cleaner commercially, you’ll mostly be dealing with low-pile carpet. The U2000R-1 will have no trouble at all, and with its powerful brushroll spinning at 6,500 RPMs, you will be able to handle just about any carpet.
The height adjustment is automatic so no need to bend down and change settings when transitioning to hard surfaces.
Bare Flooring
U2000R-1 Upright Vacuum– the powerful suction and auto adjusting brushroll will perform well on bare floors.
The high speed, 5000-6500 RPM, brushroll provides superb agitation on carpet. Remember, however, that Oreck commercial uprights are not self-propelled. Vacuuming very thick carpet will be difficult. Having the two-speed QuickSwitch on the handle lets you switch to less power if the suction is too strong, which may be useful on rugs.
