Since the Z60 Gaming Desk is a fixed-height desk, it doesn’t have any of the componentry, such as linear actuators, that goes into a standing desk, making it less expensive than most of the desks we review. However, even some standing desks are pretty close in price, like the $399 iMovR+Eureka i1, also manufactured by Eureka Ergonomic. On the other end, this desk’s “little brother,” the Z1-S, is just over half the price of the Z60.

Option
The Z60’s biggest, coolest feature has to be the RGB lighting that runs along the desktop edges. With 8 lighting options – 6 color choices and 2 rotating color patterns. The RGB lighting can definitely tie your whole setup together into one seamless “battlestation.”
Build
The desktop boasts a lightly textured carbon-fiber pattern that looks great and feels nice under your fingertips. The desktop and the feet of the desk have plastic “side armor” that give the desk an interesting look (and some pieces house the LEDs). Even functional pieces, like the leg braces, have an aesthetic flair. They are bright red, as opposed to the black of all the other steel components, so they have an eye-catching contrast.
Stability
The Eureka Z60 Gaming Desk is pretty stable, despite its width and 2-leg design. The red leg braces that supplement the Z-shaped legs add stability to the design without the risk of banged knees. The legs are set wide enough apart, though, that there is a little side-to-side wiggle if it is jostled from that direction. As it is a fixed-height desk, the ergonomics of the desk are sub-par.
Assemble
Putting the Z60 together was easy overall. All of the screws and attachment pieces were neatly separated into different bags including an Allen key for the screws. Eureka also included a magnetized screwdriver for attaching the plastic RGB pieces to the top of the desk.
Once you have everything laid out, it’s quickly apparent where everything fits into place making assembly very intuitive. The instruction manual is only a couple of pages long and comes with ten simple steps to putting the desk together.

The side LED panels begin to pulsate a stream of rainbow-colored lights, and the full depth of the Z60 Desk becomes clear. When I’m stationed at the Z60, I’m no longer just another gamer. I’m the Battalion General with a Starship Fleet at my command. It’s as though I’m one with the desk.
Emboldened, I load up my favorite shooter. Fortnite flashes across my screen. I quickly launch a game, and the Battle Bus drops me into the arena. I touch down and immediately go for the kill. My reflexes are sharp as I take hold of a pistol and knock out my first enemy. I’m a tactical genius as another enemy goes down, then another. Finally, there are 2 of us left.
I take a deep breath and look out over my fleet. LEDs continue to light up both side of my battlestation. Speakers flank the port and starboard, ringing out the precise locations of every enemy footstep and round of fire. In the center is my viewport, angled to lock onto the slightest movement. I catch sight of my opponent and prepare the shot. My right hand hovers over the trigger button, and I wait for the perfect moment…
