Fusion Black Pro muscle massage gun deep tissue percussion muscle massager gun review
The gun is solidly built. The body of the gun is well balanced and has rubberized feel that makes it slip resistant. The handle has a slight padded feel and is sized so that it isn’t too big or too small, which makes the gun feel natural in the hand. Has a premium feel and look to it, great quality materials.
The Fusion Black Pro’s handle is rubber and texturized, making it super easy to grip and manoeuvre. It’s very simple to use. There’s an on/off switch on the bottom of the handle and a power and heat button on the butt of the gun.
You can apply 25 lbs of pressure on the gun for getting deeper into the muscle tissue before the gun stalls. It has Shaft depth = 10mm. The nicest units out there have a 20mm shaft depth but typically you see 14mm for higher-end units.
Lightweight & easy store
The gun comes in an awesome softshell case unlike most other guns that come in a drawstring bag. The case is molded to perfectly fit the gun, all 6 attachments and the charging cord. It also has a mesh pocket to store additional items.
The buttons on the panel are easy to control which setting to use. The power button is easy to see. The power button allows you to toggle through all the speed settings, and LCD lights let you know what speed level you’re on. The heat button lights up on either side to let you know the device is warming up. The rechargeable battery delivers up to five hours of work time.
6 swappable heads
You’re given 6 exchangeable heads to adjust the pressure used and to bring flood flow back to areas. It comes with a large, round ball head designed to improve recovery and reduce muscle soreness with gentle oblique impact. This is a great head to use on bulk muscle groups, sensitive areas, and individuals that tend to be more sensitive overall. The flat head is for muscles and areas that need a little more help — it stimulates deep-tissue release.
It comes in a kit with multiple attachments that are easy to change out and the different attachments can be beneficial for different muscles of the body. The attachments make it easy to use on different parts of the body, whether it be the neck, lower back, or heel of the foot. A couple of minutes of using the Fusion deep massager with the small attachment and the pain was gone.
20 variable speed
These speed levels allow you to choose the right intensity for a particular muscle group or trigger point. Level one operates at 1600 percussions per minute, level two at 2000, level three is 2400, level four is at 2800, and level five has 3200.
Battery & recharge – Fusion Black Pro muscle massage gun deep tissue percussion muscle massager gun
The handle is also home to the power ring that lights up green when the guns is charged and turns red when the gun needs to charging. The bottom of the gun has the charging port for the included charger and the master power on an off button.
So far the battery life has been great. You can get several uses before you need to recharge the massage gun. 10 hours of battery can be strung out over a long period of time before recharging if kept at around level 6 and below.
How to use heads
The U-shaped head is designed for your spine. It loosens up tough back tissue and improves flexibility. It feels wonderful on your neck! The bullet head looks wicked, but its abilities are amazing. It’s designed to specifically target problem areas and deep knots for deep tissue therapy and release. You can kiss deep seated pain and hard to reach knots goodbye when you utilize the bullet head.
I really like the smallest attachment at speed 15 (there are 20 speeds total) for working out knots in my trigger points in my back. You can do this on your own shoulder muscles but will need someone to help you do this on your back. The battery takes 6 hours to charge and will run for 2-6 hours depending on the speed you set it to, so you probably can’t run it while plugged in if it runs out of battery.

REASONS TO BUY
+Closed-cell foam attachments are less painful
+Ergonomic multi-grip design
+QX65 motor allows for 40lbs of pressure without stalling or recoiling
+Two hour battery life
+Comprehensive Therabody app
REASONS TO AVOID
-Carrying case is bulky
The Theragun Elite may be costly, but it’s a worthwhile investment that can help anyone to move — and feel — better. The Theragun Elite is a Porsche among massage guns, with a price that’s topped only by another Theragun model (the Theragun Pro). One thing we loved about the Elite is that it can be held in various ways, allowing users to apply pressure more efficiently and comfortably. Our tester found this multi-grip design especially helpful when targeting hard-to-reach spots, like the lower back and hamstrings.
The battery life is also pretty impressive on the Elite — one full charge of the battery can get you up to two hours of operation. We also found it doesn’t take the Elite long to fully charge, making it a handy option for anyone using the massage gun as a regular part of their recovery routine.
The Elite, its five attachments, and a power adapter come boxed inside of a hard shell carrying case with various storage compartments. It’s bulky and would take up a considerable amount of room in your gym bag or suitcase. That being said, if we’re paying almost $400 for a massage gun, we’d prefer to have a case that’s bulky and protective over one that’s flimsy and compact. If you’re looking for a massage gun with better portability, take a look at the Theragun Mini.
You might think a hefty price tag would indicate that the Theragun Elite should be reserved for those ready to run their fifth triathlon, but we would argue the opposite. Because of the Therabody App, which provides step-by-step guidance and personalized programming, the Elite is an excellent choice for someone who hasn’t thought about their muscles since high school anatomy class.
