Build

The handle design is covered with a non-slip material that features anti-skid grooves to keep them in place when you apply force on them. The rubber grip is great, preventing slipping and more comfortable in the hands.

Design

Handheld Massager (Black) has a length of 14 inches, and it weighs pretty light just 196.1g without the batteries. The device is solid and well weighted; I am able to hold it in one hand while working on my opposite shoulder without straining the arm holding the massage gun.

Controls

The machine has a slick way to easily plug and charge at the bottom, a simple ON/OFF switch, and a nice LCD screen to show power left and speed. It is very user friendly

Heads

This instrument features a butterfly-shaped head that contains two steel balls responsible for the kneading action of the massager. The ten massage heads are made of non-latex sponge rubber material, which is gentle to the skin. Each chair is designed specifically for different body parts: lower shoulder blade football, small forearm palm hand wrist.

Attachment

The massager also comes with different attachment options to facilitate your choice. It comes with a long barrel for targeting the whole back, one short barrel for 1-handed massage, and two diamond tips perfect for knot relieving.

You can choose the right one for specific muscle relief and treat it with a quick, painful pressure and muscle soreness without having any massage experience in this process.

Vibration

It also has multiple levels of massage intenses. Toloco can be adjusted in 20 steps, compared to the six steps on the SIP. This certainly gives you more fine-grained control over your massage experience, if that is something that you require. Toloco’s max RPM is 3200. The full strength on both devices seems to be comparable with a bit of an edge for Toloco

Battery life & recharge

TOLOCO massage gun has 2500 MAh battery. Expert recommends limiting your sessions to 10 minutes at each sitting. Battery wise, it requires charging after 2-3 usages of about 15mins each time. The Toloco has an auto-shut off function that turns the device off after 10 minutes of continuous use.

Noise

This thing is whisper quiet, the clicking from the button to adjust the lower is louder than the actual motor. The active noise is only 40-50 dB, which is a low tone. Moreover, you can use the massager even while people around you are sleeping if you turn on the TV volume or music.

The TOLOCO handheld massager provides an excellent percussive muscle massage with 2500rmp. The combination of two steel balls and vibration helps get rid of knots by applying a quick and painful pressure on the muscles.

The flexible spring between the two handles lets you bend it for a better position after targeting a specific muscle. Moreover, you may position the massager in whatever direction you want to work out a particular strength and feel better right away.

The gun itself is fantastic. It feels great in hand and very well balanced. It surprising light but still feels sturdy and well constructed. It charged up quickly (although it did come mostly charged up already) and I’ve been using it for a few days now about 30 mins each time and the battery is still nearly full. I get a sense the battery is going to last quite some time between charges. The heads change easily and I’m getting to learn the ones the feel best for me.

Hyperice Hypervolt 2 Pro

SPECIFICATIONS
  • PPM: 1700-2700
  • Noise level: 55-65 decibels
  • Battery life: 3 hours
  • Weight: 2.6 pounds
REASONS TO BUY

+Long battery life

+Cushion attachment allows for massage in especially tight or bony areas

+Solid and sturdy construction

REASONS TO AVOID

-No carrying case

-App can be confusing

-Heavy and awkward to hold

The Hyperice Hypervolt 2 Pro is a well-made massage gun, especially suited for athletes and advanced users. The basic yet solid construction of the Hyperice Hypervolt 2 Pro makes it a good choice for nearly anyone looking to invest in a high-end massage gun. However, a few key factors gear the Pro towards a more experienced user.

The Hyperice App is capable of leading accomplished athletes through comprehensive programing for a competitive edge. A variety of textured attachments combined with a speedy 2700 PPM effectively releases the tightest trigger points and muscle groups.

The Hypervolt 2 Pro has an exceptional battery life —  at three hours, it outlasts the Theragun Elite and the Theragun Mini by 60 and 30 minutes respectively. The Theragun Pro doubles the Hypervolt 2 Pro’s run time with a six-hour life, but you’ll pay $200 more for that extra three hours. Charging the Pro once got me through an entire week’s worth of testing, with plenty of battery left to spare.

The downsides here are that the gun is slightly awkward to hold, and doesn’t come with a carry case, which could be an issue if you plan on traveling with the gun. Since it’s pretty sturdy, you could most likely get away with cushioning it between some thick sweatshirts and tossing it in your bag. But on the other hand, if I’m going to pay a few hundred bucks for a massage gun, I’d like to know that it could be protected appropriately during transport.
