Build & Design

With the weight of 18.49 lbs, it measures 18.9 x 13 x 43.5 inches. Its ‘Triggerless’ design enables you to roll to clean.

You won’t need to stop very often because of the enormous tank and long cord. A hose is also available for cleaning surfaces such as furniture, stairs, and others.

Additionally, it features FlexForce Pet PowerBrushes, which are strong antimicrobial brushes. To eliminate leftover pet stench from the house, these brushes clean more thoroughly and penetrate deeper than traditional ones.

Water tank

Although it was a tight fit under the bathroom sink faucet due to the tank’s size, I was able to fill it to about halfway without incident. However, there would be no problem to fit it in a kitchen sink or beneath the bathtub faucet. I used warm water as instructed by the manual, and after doing so, I put the water tank back into position.

Two motors are included in the package, each of which uses no more than 10 Amps when operating. Since it is corded, this device can run nonstop as long as it is plugged in. Although this carpet cleaner’s suction isn’t nearly as powerful as a pet vacuum, it does remove any last bits of fur that may still be clinging to the carpet fibers. A significant amount of the hair is stuck in the brush roll and on the plastic piece that covers the brush roll, while some of it enters the dirty water basin.

Pulling backwards toward you turns on the dry mode while pushing forward automatically begins the wash mode. You don’t have to fuss with dilution ratios or pre-mix a solution to pour into the machine because the machine automatically combines the cleaning solution with the warm water as you clean.

It is comparatively quiet because the motors only produce a little hum (roughly 2db). It is more efficient than a vacuum cleaner while being noticeably quieter. Additionally, the running detachable wand that helps you locate difficult stains on your carpet is even quieter (roughly 1db).

Hoover SmartWash Automatic carpet cleaner Performance review

This carpet cleaner extracts water from the wet carpet more easily thanks to HeatForce technology. This indicates that there is no need for a wet floor indication with the hoover because the spot will disappear in an instant. The carpet was thoroughly cleaned of our dried grape wine stain in just three passes, which was the fastest in our comparison. The same cannot be stated of the extraction of water. The carpets took longer to dry because it didn’t do a good job of eliminating the wetness.

Forget Paying Expensive Carpet Cleaning Services

I love this carpet cleaner (but I do hate cleaning carpets)! I bought this Hoover SmartWash+ since I have a 10 month-old baby that’s beginning to crawl. The wife wanted to me to vacuum the high traffic carpet in our family room and I knew that was not going to cut it so I made this purchase. It is pretty simple to use this carpet cleaner. If you can vacuum your carpet then you can use this cleaner. I like the push-to-spray and pull-to-dry feature. No buttons to have to push to dispense water and cleaner. It truly is a smart carpet cleaner. It does as good of a job at cleaning the carpet as any carpet cleaning service and saves money in the long run. I can also clean my carpets when I’m ready to without scheduling issues. I actually got the carpet clean in an area that a professional cleaning service could not clean. The amount of dirt that was picked up shocked me (see photo). This machine is good! Pros: – The design is simple and just about like vacuuming a carpet. – Great value. It will pay for itself after cleaning a few of rooms in your home. – Due to the pull-to-dry feature the area you clean will be dry in about 45 min to an hour. No more 3 hour drying periods to walk through your home. – If you read the instructions it is pretty easy to disassemble and clean the cleaner. – The attachments make it easy to clean more than just the carpet. Cons: – The instruction manual doesn’t mention it but the Water Tank and Solution Tank probably need to dry fully before putting away the cleaner to avoid mold build-up in either. I had to sit the two near a sunny window to promote evaporation of the water from the top openings. It would be nice if Hoover made it easier to dry these out for quicker storage. – You can only clean one room of about 17′ x 17′ on one full tank of water. (though I believe the cleaner would be difficult to use if the tank had a larger capacity.
