Design

At 16.7 pounds in its full upright position, it’s standard weight for a higher-end vacuum. The fingertip controls on the handle, which light up and let you easily switch between hard floor, carpet/low pile, and thick carpet/area rug settings. Main Brush has a 12-inch cleaning path, 3.3 quart dust bin capacity, and 1200 watts of cleaning power.

Cleaning tools

The canister easily detaches with the push of a button; you can take it around with you as you clean without having to lug around the whole vacuum. The Rotator TruePet has an excellent turning radius thanks to swivel steering and with a 30-foot power cord, you can move around plenty.

Brush rolls

The TruePet motorized brush does excellent job removing the hair from upholstered furniture and area rugs. Though the suction is very powerful, the brush is still gentle enough to use on lighter fabrics.

Floorhead

One thing we loved about the Rotator TruePet is that the floorhead is small enough to go under low furniture. The LED lights on the nozzle and handle, helping to illuminate dark corners, the spaces under furniture, and poorly lit closets.

Dust cup

Dirt Compartment Volume  0.38 gal (1.45 L). No Bag is Needed. Good dirt compartment. It’s fairly big and there’s an indicating line for when it’s full.

HEPA filter

Shark Rotator models utilize a very well designed HEPA Sealed Filtration System.  Not only does it trap particulates as tiny as 0.3 microns, it also prevents them from leaking around the filter and getting blown back into the air you breather. The Shark Rotator NV752 was awarded the Seal of Approval by the British Allergy Foundation.

The Lift-Away feature makes this bagless upright extremely versatile.  The important difference between the Shark Rotator NV752 Lift-Away and other Lift-Away models is that the cleaning head is POWERED!  The brushroll is driven with same electric motor as when it is in the upright mode.

Shark does well on carpets, getting about three quarters of the sand, and this is designed to be a hard test, so it’s certainly more than competent as a deep cleaner. It just didn’t quite have the extra oomph of the Dyson Cinetic or the Oreck Touch.

This vacuum is outstanding on low-pile carpet. It easily picks up large debris and it does a very good job with small debris too. With the brushroll on, it sucks up all hair. Once again, the vacuum is consistent as the dirt compartment fills.

Excellent suction and versatile

Best Buy had no reviews yet but I read reviews elsewhere on previous models of the True Pet I and knew what I was getting into. I have two dogs that shed and bought this for my new house. The previous owners “vacuumed the house” before they left. First thing after moving in was vacuum the entire house and the amount of gunk I picked was was amazing, especially given they said they vacuumed. Excellent suction and the thing practically drives itself via the spinning broom in front. Does a great job picking up the dog hair too. Does a pretty good job on hardwood though I think it’s strength is carpet. The vacuum can be used as a canister, upright, or tow behind. Attachments are excellent and easy to use. The one complaint would be when in tow behind mode, the upright part tends to wanna fall down because of the weight of the hose and the lightweight of the vacuum part but if you put it close it’s fine. It could be that it’s new out of the box so still a bit stiff too. Overall excellent vacuum!

It’s worth noting I’ve previously owned the second from the top Dyson. I then bought a shark for my cabin based on the fact that it’s considerably cheaper than Dysons. After using it a while , I think the Shark I bought for my cabin, which is a cheaper model, was better than the much more expensive Dyson I bought for my house. Considering this is the best Shark and for about 2/3 of what I paid for the Dyson, I’m very satisfied with the purchase and a Shark fan going forward.

Shark WANDVAC Handheld Vacuum

At just 1.4 pounds, the Shark WANDVAC combines lightweight portability with the suction power of a high-speed brushless motor. It features a tapered nozzle for easy debris and dust pickup and comes with two accessories — a duster crevice tool and a multi-surface pet tool — for tackling pet hair, upholstery and tight spaces.

Without its attachments, we found it works best on hard surfaces (like hardwood floors) and low-pile rugs or upholstery. You’ll want to use the attachments for higher-pile rugs and softer fabrics to really pull up the pet hair and dirt locked in the fibers. Our favorite feature is the one-touch debris-emptying system that makes cleanup a breeze. It runs for almost 10 minutes on a full charge and takes less than three hours to juice back up (which is a much faster charging time than most cordless models). Although it’s small and takes up little space, it doesn’t conveniently mount to the wall.

Luckily, the device itself is sleek and attractive enough to leave out in the open if you need to. Plus, we love that the charging dock offers onboard accessory storage — no stray or misplaced attachments!
