I’ve used bissel products before. I pre-treated the worst areas with this, spraying liberally over the really dark stains, and less on the lighter stains. I then let it sit for 5-10 minutes. (The product recommends 3-5 minutes. I then went over it carefully and slowly using a carpet steamer and Krud Kutter. This product worked well would be a total understatement.
